“EMPOWERING TEENS: A COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN FOR HEALTHY CHOICES AND SAFER FUTURES”

The Sangguniang Kabataan of San Roque successfully conducted the U4U Teen Trails Program, highlighting the importance of proper s*x education in guiding today’s youth toward healthier and safer futures.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the participants from Iriga Science High School, headed by their supportive principal, Sir Virgilio Puso, for warmly accommodating this meaningful activity.

A big thank you as well to our dedicated Guest Speakers — Ma’am Hazel Temeña, Junelyn D. Oronan, Wenda V. Esplana, and Ruth P. Palenzuela — for sharing their knowledge and inspiring today’s young learners.

This event became a success through the collective efforts of the SK Council, in partnership with BNS, BSPO, and our ever-energetic emcee, Sec. Sarah S. Sanorjo.

Together, we continue to empower our teens.

In the aftermath of Typhoon Uwan, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay San Roque extended a helping hand through a community feeding program—bringing warmth, hope, and nourishment to our affected residents.

The feeding program was shared with the residents of Zone 6 and Zone 3, as well as with the evacuees currently staying at UNEP.

This initiative was made possible through the leadership of SK Chairman June Francis Seva, together with SK Kagawad Janna Kris Cornelio, Jamielyne Alfelor, and Charles Dacleson, in collaboration with Barangay Kagawad Lerma Tucio and Niña Barredo, BNS Lovelee Bermudo, BSPO Paz Pante, and Barangay Tanod Matthew Seva and Rayshell Cornelio.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and compassion.

BARANGAY SAN ROQUE GARDENING DAY!

Good day, San Roquenians!
We are excited to invite the youth, your neighbors, or your friends to join our Gardening Activity this Friday, October 31, 2025, starting at 6 o’clock in the morning, residing at Zone 3 Gulayan.

This activity aims to promote environmental awareness, strengthen community cooperation, and encourage sustainable living through urban gardening. Together, we can transform our surroundings into a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful place to live!

Please bring your gardening tools, gloves, water bottles, and wear comfortable clothing. Let’s work hand in hand in nurturing not just our plants, but also the spirit of unity within Barangay San Roque!

Let’s grow together—one plant, one community at a time!
