June 4, 2026 | The Local Government Unit of Quezon, Isabela, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), successfully conducts the payout of allowances under the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) at the Municipal Session Hall today.
The SPES program continues to provide valuable opportunities for students by allowing them to gain practical work experience while receiving financial assistance to support their educational needs. Through the program, beneficiaries are also exposed to workplace values and skills that help prepare them for future employment and greater responsibilities.
During the activity, Municipal Mayor Daryl G. Gascon encouraged the student beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunities being provided to them. He emphasized that programs such as SPES allow young people to experience learning beyond the classroom and develop skills that will serve them in the future. The Mayor likewise reminded the students to remain diligent in their studies and to accept the guidance and corrections of their parents constructively, recognizing that such advice is ultimately intended for their growth and well-being.
The Local Government Unit of Quezon extends its gratitude to DOLE for its continued partnership and to all SPES beneficiaries for their discipline and dedication throughout the duration of the program. Through this program, the municipality remains firm in supporting the education, development and future success of Quezonโs youth.

The Local Government Unit of Quezon, Isabela is currently undertaking the Upgrading of the Barucboc Water System (BWS) through the installation of a Hybrid Solar-Powered Water Pump.
With diesel-powered generators currently serving as the primary source of energy for the water system, this initiative is expected to significantly reduce operational and water production costs. By integrating renewable solar energy with conventional power sources, the project will improve the efficiency, sustainability, and reliability of water supply operations while minimizing dependence on costly fuel.
Once completed, the upgraded system will help ensure a more dependable and cost-effective water service for the residents of Barangay Barucboc, reinforcing the municipalityโs commitment to sustainable infrastructure and improved public service delivery.
Investing in sustainable solutions for reliable water services and stronger communities.
