SKC HITTERS COMPLETE DYNASTY RUN, CLAIM BACK-TO-BACK TITLE π€΄π₯

βThe SKC Hitters secured their back-to-back championship title after defeating Tugpa Brothers in straight sets, 25-18, 25-21, 25-18, during Saturdayβs Finals showdown.

βFinishing the elimination round with a 5-1 record, the defending champions displayed maturity, composure, and high-level gameplay through their consistent reception and floor defense. John Selmer Sendico led the team with 19 big points built on 17 attacks, 1 block, and 1 service ace, while Tony Jones Castillo added 15 points from 11 attacks and 4 service aces.

βDriven by grit and determination, the SKC Hitters now become the first team in the entire SKVB Program Menβs Category to successfully claim back-to-back championships. Meanwhile, Tony Jones Castillo also etched his name in history after earning his third Finals MVP award, while Yulisar Paragas Jr. was hailed as the back-to-back best setter awardee. (report by E. CINDERELLA RUN TO THE TITLE ππ

βIn Saturdayβs Womenβs Championship matchup, Team Busay conquered Upper Lanote in four sets, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-20, to capture the title.

βTeam Busay showcased a strong defensive and offensive system, led by Iruth Tabacun, who delivered 23 big points built on 20 attacks, 1 block, and 2 service aces. Despite entering the playoffs as the No. 4 seed with a 1-4 elimination round record, they completed a historic Cinderella run, even eliminating the No. 1 seed Tropang Potchie in the semifinals.

The defending champions SKC Hitters are hungry to secure back-to-back titles, but standing in their way is a relentless Tugpa Brothers squad determined to finish what they started.
Will SKC Hitters continue their reign, or will Tugpa Brothers rise and outlast the champions? The answer will be written on Finals Day.

What started as a journey from outside the conference has now turned into a battle for glory. Team Upper Lanote and Team Busay, two guest teams that shocked the league are now set to face each other in the Finals this Saturday, May 9, 1:00 PM at the MPH Covered Court.
After surviving every challenge and proving they belong among the best, only one team will complete the mission and claim the crown. Expect an all-out war for pride, legacy, and championship history. This is more than just a game, this is the fight for the title.

PODIUM SECURED: TROPANG POTCHIE CLAIMS BRONZE IN THE CONFERENCE π₯πββοΈ
The pride of Opanes, Tropang Potchie WVT, clinched the bronze medal in Sundayβs matchup against the two-time champions, Balanban High Spikers. Player of the Game and 2024 Best Spiker Reah Mae Opanes delivered 11 points built on 10 attacks and 1 service ace.
Although Balanban High Spikers bounced back in the second set, Tropang Potchie stayed composed and regrouped with strong chemistry to seal the match in four sets, 25-22, 18-25, 25-8, 25-17. BEGANG NHS YOUNGSTERS LOYAL SPIKERS CLINCH BRONZE IN THE CONFERENCE π₯π¦
The Begang National High School Loyal Spikers soared high in the battle for bronze last Sunday, sweeping Tropang Potchie MVT in straight sets, 26β24, 25β9, 25β17. Open spiker Michael Dinglasa led the charge with 10 points, built on 7 attacks, 2 blocks, and 1 ace, anchoring the teamβs dominant performance.
The young squad showcased remarkable consistency throughout the tournament, finishing as the fourth seed in the eliminations with a 4β2 record. TEAM BUSAY UPSETS TOP SEED TROPANG POTCHIE π¨
Top-seeded Tropang Potchie WMV suffered a stunning semifinal loss to No. 4 Team Busay last Saturday, shaking up the tournament landscape. Tropang Potchie struggled to establish their offensive rhythm against Busayβs disciplined defense, which consistently disrupted their attacking patterns. Capitalizing on this, scoring machine Iruth Tabacun delivered a dominant performance, finishing with 25 points built on 21 attacks from both the front and back row, along with 4 service aces.
Team Busayβs balanced effort in reception and service further fueled their momentum, allowing them to secure the victory in four sets, 26β24, 25β15, 25β23, 22β25. Last yearβs champions, Balanban High Spikers, suffered a heartbreaking lose this conference after falling to guest team Upper Lanote in the semifinals last Saturday.
Upper Lanote proved their dominance throughout the match, sweeping BHS in straight sets, 25β11, 25β22, 25β20. Their solid floor defense and consistent reception disrupted BHSβs rhythm, making it difficult for the defending champions to gain momentum in any set.
Leading the charge was reliable open spiker Princess Jelly Mazo, who delivered an outstanding 24 points built on 20 attacks and 4 service aces, cementing her role as one of the most formidable players in the conference. TUGPA BROTHERS OUTLAST POWERHOUSE TROPANG POTCHIE IN THE SEMIS πͺπ¨
The Tugpa Brothers punched their ticket to the finals after a hard-fought four-set victory over Powerhouse Tropang Potchie, 18-25, 25-20, 27-25, 27-25, in Saturdayβs semifinals clash.
Player of the Game Abdulsa Sualog led the charge with an explosive 29-point performance, tallying 28 attacks and one service ace. Despite struggling with chemistry in the opening set, the Tugpa Brothers quickly regrouped and found their rhythm, leaning on solid reception and strong net defense to outlast their opponents in a tightly contested match.
