June 2, 2026| Day 6 of the SPARK VA Training introduced HAPIsabida Employment Pathway Program (HEPP) beneficiaries to the essentials of building credibility and professionalism in the digital marketplace.

With the continuous guidance of Program Trainer Engr. Jed Inovejas, participants explored:

June 1, 2026 | The training continues with momentum! Day 5 of the SPARK VA Training focused on two powerful topics โ€” Agency Profiles Creation and Client Prospecting โ€” essential steps toward building visibility and connecting with opportunities in the digital marketplace.

From Learning to Livelihood: Empowering OFW Returnees and dependents through HAPISABIDA Entrepreneurship/Livelihood Pathway Program

Watch the highlights of the 2-Day HAPISABIDA Entrepreneurship/Livelihood Pathway Program, where OFW returnees and their dependents gained valuable knowledge and practical skills to help them start, manage, and grow their own businesses.

Throughout the training, participants explored key entrepreneurial concepts including Business Ideation, Branding and Digital Marketing, Basic Costing and Pricing, and Basic Bookkeepingโ€”equipping them with the tools needed to transform business ideas into sustainable livelihood opportunities.

This video also features heartfelt messages from Mr. Richard Saavedra, OWWA Field Officer, Ms. Noraida Lim, President of Limkins Pharmacy Association, and Mr. Leopoldo Jamero, President of Kings Crabs OFW Association, who shared their experiences, insights, and appreciation for the training.

The Limkins Pharmacy Association and Kings Crabs OFW Association are both beneficiaries of the OWWA Tulong PUSO Program, a testament to the government's commitment to supporting OFW returnees and their families through livelihood assistance and enterprise development. Their testimonies reflect how continuous capacity-building initiatives such as HAPISABIDA complement livelihood support programs by strengthening the entrepreneurial skills needed to sustain and grow their ventures.

Mr. Saavedra likewise expressed his sincere gratitude to City Mayor Sitti Djalia A. SPARK Day 4: Showcasing Skills, Building Careers ๐Ÿ’ผ

May 29, 2026|The training continues with unstoppable momentum! Day 4 of the SPARK VA Training empowered HAPIsabida Employment Pathway Program (HEPP) beneficiaries to dive into the essentials of Common Virtual Assistant Services and the art of creating impactful Resume and Video Resume.

Guided by Program Trainer Engr. Jed Inovejas, trainees explored:
๐Ÿ”น Common VA Services โ€” understanding the wide range of tasks and support VAs provide, from administrative assistance to digital content management, preparing participants to meet diverse client needs.
๐Ÿ”นResume & Video Resume Creation โ€” learning how to craft professional resume and dynamic video presentations that highlight skills, confidence, and readiness for the global freelancing market.

Day 4 opened new perspectives for participants, helping them see the variety of services they can learn to offer and the importance of presenting themselves effectively to future clients. It marked a step toward building confidence and preparing for opportunities in the digital marketplace. ๐Ÿš€

The Local Government Unit of the City of Isabela, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), in partnership with People Systems Consultancy, successfully conducted the 2nd Mentoring Session of the R.I.S.E. Programme (Reach Independence & Sustainable Entrepreneurship) for Maybank Islamic beneficiaries.

Following the successful first mentoring session which focused on social media marketing and business promotion, todayโ€™s session continued to strengthen the entrepreneurial journey of the beneficiaries through meaningful learning and engagement activities.

The mentoring session highlighted:
โœ… Kamustahan Session โ€“ fostering connection, reflection, and encouragement among participants;
โœ… Sales Personalities โ€“ understanding how to effectively handle and interact with different types of customers; and
โœ… Personal Grooming โ€“ emphasizing proper appearance, professionalism, and self-confidence as sellers and aspiring business owners.

The R.I.S.E. Programme, sponsored by Maybank Foundation in collaboration with Maybank Islamic and implemented by People Systems Consultancy, continues to provide guidance and mentorship to empower beneficiaries toward sustainable entrepreneurship, economic resilience, and self-reliance.

Through this continuing partnership, the LGU of Isabela City reaffirms its commitment to inclusive growth and poverty alleviation, especially among the Muslim and underprivileged communities in the city.

The training is still going strong! Day 3 of the SPARK VA Training brought participants deeper into the essentials of time management and productivity tools โ€” proving that efficiency is the backbone of success in the digital industry.

The Local Government Unit of Isabela City de Basilan, spearheaded by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman through the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) headed by PESO Manager Ms. Aradelria T. Belleng, in partnership with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), successfully concluded the 2-Day Business Development Services (BDS) Training for OFW Returnees Associations under the HAPISABIDA Entrepreneurship/Livelihood Pathway Program.

The participants of the training included the Limkins Pharmacy Association, which will venture into a pharmacy business to be located at Barangay Sumagdang, and the King Crab OFW Association, which will venture into King Crab production located at Barangay Tabuk.

On its final day, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical insights on Branding and Social Media Marketing. Through hands-on activities, they were able to create their own business logos, formulate taglines, and set up social media pages to strengthen their business identity and online presence.

The session on Costing and Pricing also provided participants with a deeper understanding of the different business costs, including fixed costs and variable costs, and how these affect product pricing. Various pricing strategies were likewise discussed to help participants determine competitive and sustainable pricing for their products and services.

This was followed by another engaging hands-on activity on Basic Bookkeeping, where participants learned the proper recording of financial transactions and the importance of effective financial management in running a business.

Throughout the training, participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to learn essential entrepreneurial skills that can help improve their livelihoods. It is hoped that the knowledge and experiences gained from this activity will inspire and empower them towards a brighter and more sustainable future, both as individuals and as associations.

This initiative continues to support the vision of building financially empowered, resilient, and productive communities through sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Today marks the successful opening of the 2-Day Business Development Services (BDS) Training for associations of OFW returnees under the HAPISABIDA Entrepreneurship/Livelihood Pathway Program.

Day 1 focused on strengthening entrepreneurial knowledge through sessions on Financial Literacy conducted by the Microfinance Team, followed by discussions on Business Ideation and Planning. Participants actively shared insights, explored business opportunities, and enhanced their understanding of managing and growing sustainable livelihoods.

The first day concluded with an engaging and interactive Rice Trading Game, where participants applied decision-making, teamwork, and basic business strategies in a practical setting.

The participants of the training included the Limkins Pharmacy Association, which will venture into a pharmacy business to be located at Barangay Sumagdang, and the King Crab OFW Association, which will venture into King Crab production located at Barangay Tabuk.

This initiative aims to equip our OFW returnees with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to start and sustain their own livelihood ventures towards a more productive and financially empowered community.
