The Local Government Unit of Isabela de Basilan, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman through the Isabela City Tourism Office and in unified efforts with Sta. Isabel de Portugal Cathedral Parish and its Pastoral Parish Council, the Barangay Councils of Seaside and Isabela Proper, and the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO) proudly unveils the official brand concepts and designs of this year’s Fiesta Alegria na Ciudad de Isabela de Basilan — the 176th Patronal Fiesta Celebration in honor of Sta. Today is World Environment Day! 🌏🌿♻️
The Local Government Unit of Isabela de Basilan under the vibrant and dynamic leadership of City Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman through the City Tourism Office is one with the whole world in the celebration of World Environment Day today, June 5, 2026, with the theme: “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For our Future."
World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5 and serves as the United Nations' principal platform for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of the environment. Established in 1972 during the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment and first observed in 1973, it has since become one of the largest international environmental observances, engaging millions of people across the globe.
This year's theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For our Future.”, highlights the vital role of nature in addressing climate change and securing a sustainable future for generations to come. It reminds us that healthy ecosystems, forests, oceans, rivers, and biodiversity are among our strongest allies in building climate resilience and protecting our planet.
We call all Isabeleños to join us in our pursuit to protect our environment! Let us do our part in protecting and caring for our environment. Through simple actions such as reducing waste, conserving resources, and keeping our surroundings clean, we can help build a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for everyone.

In celebration of Fiesta Alegria na Ciudad de Isabela de Basilan 2026: The 176th Patronal Fiesta Celebration in Honor of Sta. Isabel de Portugal, the Barangay Council of Seaside, led by Hon. Kap. Fitzgerald Tan, and the Barangay Council of Isabela Proper, led by Hon. Kap. Jenny Wee, with the full support of the Local Government Unit of Isabela de Basilan under the inclusive leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman, invites all interested Isabeleños to take part in the Mr. & Ms. Cultural Heritage!
There will be a screening for the candidates, which will take place on June 7, 2026 (Sunday), from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Duc’s Bacolod Inasal, Isabela de Basilan. Interested participants are encouraged to come in casual attire.

In celebration of Fiesta Alegria na Ciudad de Isabela de Basilan 2026: The 176th Patronal Fiesta Celebration in Honor of Sta. Isabel de Portugal, the Barangay Council of Seaside, led by Hon. Kap. Fitzgerald Tan, and the Barangay Council of Isabela Proper, led by Hon. Kap. Jenny Wee, with the full support of the Local Government Unit of Isabela de Basilan under the inclusive leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman, invite all Isabeleños to join the Isabela Got Talent Showdown!
Auditions will take place on June 6, 2026 (Saturday), at Duc's Bacolod Inasal, Seaside, Isabela de Basilan from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Anchored on the theme, "Heritage Preserved, Faith Renewed — Sta. Isabel, Model of Faith and Intercessor of the Isabeleños," the Barangay Council of Seaside, led by Hon. Kap. Fitzgerald Tan, and the Barangay Council of Isabela Proper, led by Hon. Kap. Jenny Wee, with the full support of the Local Government Unit of Isabela de Basilan under the inclusive leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman, invite all Isabeleños aged 18 and above to join La Voz de Isabela: The Singing Competition.

Fiesta Alegria na Ciudad de Isabela de Basilan is a meaningful and highly awaited celebration that honors Sta. Isabel de Portugal, the patroness of Isabeleños and Basileños. It is part of the cultural calendar of the City of Isabela de Basilan—a celebration not only limited to the Catholic community but also a platform that brings people together, transcending differences and promoting harmony.
This year marks the 𝟭𝟳𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮, a special milestone that reflects 176 years of strong faith, rich cultural heritage, and a vibrant community spirit.

LOOK| In preparation for the upcoming Patronal Fiesta of the City of Isabela de Basilan dubbed as Fiesta Alegria na Ciudad de Isabela in honor of Sta Isabel de Portugal, the Local Government Unit of Isabela de Basilan, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman, through the City Tourism Office headed by City Tourism Officer Claudio Montebon Ramos II, in partnership with the Sta. Isabel de Portugal Cathedral Parish, Barangay Councils of Seaside and Isabela Proper and City LEDIPO held a coordination meeting on June 3, 2026, at the Isabela City Tourism Office, Isabela City Hall Complex, Sunrise, Isabela de Basilan.
The meeting focused on the planning and coordination of various proposed activities for the celebration of the 176th Patronal Fiesta in honour of Sta. Isabel de Portugal with the theme "Heritage Preserved, Faith Renewed — Sta. Isabel, Model of Faith and Intercessor of the Isabeleños.”
CTO Claudio M. Ramos II emphasized the importance of aligning all planned activities with the overall vision of the celebration, particularly in promoting inclusive and meaningful community participation. Attendees also exchanged ideas and aligned their efforts to ensure the success of the upcoming celebration.
Present during the meeting were Sta. Isabel Cathedral Parish Pastoral Council President Ms. Tetey Alano, together with Cecille T. Jaquilmac, Seaside Barangay Chairperson Hon. Fitz Gerald Tan, and Mr. Jamju Rivera from the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO).
We are thrilled to roll out this exciting lineup of activities. We look forward to collaborating closely in the coming weeks to bring these events to life and celebrate the 176th Patronal Fiesta Celebration in honour of Sta. Isabel de Portugal.

In pursuit to advance the many advantages of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, the Local Government Unit of Isabela de Basilan under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman through the Isabela City Tourism Office headed by City Tourism Officer Claudio Montebon Ramos II, conducted its Assessment and Planning Activity for the second semester (June- December) of 2026. The planning and assessment meeting was held today, June 02, 2026 at the JB Dans Hall, Isabela City Hall Complex, Isabela de Basilan.
CTO Claudio M. Ramos II opened the program and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of each division in strengthening tourism, culture and artistic mandates in the city. He emphasized the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and proper planning in achieving tourism goals.
The meeting outlined various upcoming events and activities the office will undertake. Specifically, each division prepared presentation and calendars of various tourism and cultural programs for the remaining months of 2026. CTO Ramos, with the collective efforts of the tourism team refined the many proposed activities and events ensuring that these plans will be sustainable, relevant and true to the needs of our stakeholders, and importantly aligned with the Tourism Development Plan and the City’s development goals as a whole.
Also, the meeting focused on reviewing the office’s accomplishments, programs, and initiatives for the first half of 2026. It provided staff an opportunity to assess achievements, identify challenges, and discuss areas for improvement in delivering tourism services.
The activity ended with a shared commitment to continue improving services for both residents and visitors. As we look forward to the coming days, we remain confident that our upcoming events, programs, and initiatives will continue to reflect the hard work, perseverance, and unwavering commitment of the City Tourism Office, aligned with the 9-point agenda of the HAPIsabela Leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia 'Dadah' A. Turabin-Hataman.
With this, a renewed and inspired Tourism Team is ready to serve Isabeleños and those many who are destined to experience the HAPIsabela hospitality - from Islands to Highlands, Reef to Ridges, visit Isabela de Basilan --- Happinesses is Here!
