FITNESS FOR READINESS || 12RCDG CONDUCTS 2ND SEMI-ANNUAL CY 2026 PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST

ISULAN, SULTAN KUDARAT — On 30 September 2026, the 12th Regional Community Defense Group (12RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA) conducted its 2nd Semi-Annual Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for CY 2026 at Headquarters 12RCDG, Purok Paraiso, Barangay Kalawag 1, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. The activity was facilitated by qualified evaluators from the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Center (MWRC), 6th Installation Management Battalion, Installation Management Command, Philippine Army. Participating personnel underwent standardized physical fitness activities, including push-ups, sit-ups, and a 3.2-kilometer run, designed to assess their strength, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. The conduct of the PFT provided personnel with an opportunity to assess their physical conditioning and reinforce the discipline, determination, and commitment required in the performance of military duties.

Physical fitness is an essential component of troop readiness and operational preparedness, as maintaining a physically capable force enables personnel to effectively respond to the demands of military service and accomplish assigned missions. The activity likewise promotes a culture of discipline, personal responsibility, teamwork, and continuous self-improvement among 12RCDG personnel. LOOK || 10th INFANTRY DIVISION and 12RCDG STRENGTHENS RESERVE FORCE DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS in the AOR

MAWAB, DAVAO DE ORO — On 30 September 2026, COL ANTHONY O. SAMONTE ARM (GSC) PA, Commander, 12th Regional Community Defense Group (12RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), together with key officers of the Group, paid a courtesy call to MGEN ALVIN V. LUZON PA, Commander, 10th Infantry (Agila) Division (10ID), Philippine Army, at Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr., Mawab, Davao de Oro.

The delegation was warmly received by MGEN ALVIN V. LUZON PA, Commander 10ID assisted by COL RUBEN G. AQUINO INF (GSC) PA, Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (ADCRRA), 10ID, PA, together with the General Staff of 10ID. The engagement served as an avenue to strengthen coordination and foster closer professional relationships between 12RCDG and 10ID, particularly in matters concerning the development and employment of the Reserve Force within their respective areas of responsibility.

Discuss during the engagement were selection process for Battalion Commanders of the Reserve Ready Infantry Battalions (RRIBns), the enhancement of reserve force capabilities within the operational area of 10ID, and the areas of responsibility of Community Defense Centers (CDCs) under 12RCDG that support the division’s mission.

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO — On 29 September 2026, COL ANTHONY O. SAMONTE ARM (GSC) PA, Commander, 12th Regional Community Defense Group (12RCDG), visited the 1204th Community Defense Center (1204CDC) located in Barangay Paraiso, Koronadal City, South Cotabato. He was warmly received by the personnel of 1204CDC, led by MAJ DENNIE M. PAJEL (ARM) PA, Director 1204 CDC. The command visit provided an opportunity for COL SAMONTE to personally engage with CDC personnel, gain updates on their ongoing activities and concerns, and reinforce the importance of effective leadership, coordination, and commitment in the implementation of the Reserve Force mission within the area of responsibility. TACURONG CITY, SULTAN KUDARAT — On 28 September 2026 at 0730H, COL ANTHONY O. SAMONTE ARM (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 12th Regional Community Defense Group (12RCDG), and LTC LITO B. MAGHUYOP INF PA, Director, 1202nd Community Defense Center (1202CDC), 12RCDG, participated in “Symposium 2026: An Interactive Seminar on BJMP Career Orientation, PNP Recruitment Program, Community Anti-Terrorism Awareness, and Celebration of the 2026 National Crime Prevention Program” held at the University Gymnasium, Sultan Kudarat State University–ACCESS Campus, EJC Montilla, Tacurong City. As part of the activity, the 12RCDG highlighted the importance of Reserve Force Development, providing participants with information on the role, opportunities, and contributions of the Philippine Army Reserve Force in supporting national defense and community security. The 12RCDG likewise took part in the Multipartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony, demonstrating its commitment to strengthening institutional partnerships and promoting coordinated efforts in community safety, public awareness, and youth development.

Through the participation of COL SAMONTE and LTC MAGHUYOP, the 12RCDG reinforced its role as a key partner in community-based peace and security initiatives, particularly in engaging the youth and academic sector. LOOK | 12RCDG Commander Conducts Commander’s Visit to 1201CDC

On 26 September 2026, COL ANTHONY O. SAMONTE ARM (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 12th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, conducted a Commander’s Visit to 1201st Community Defense Center (1201CDC) at Camp Lucero, Carmen, North Cotabato. He was officially received by the organic personnel of 1201CDC and Enlisted Reservist of 1201 RRIBn, headed by COL ALVIN V. TAGUILIG GSC (CE) PA, CDC Director. During the visit, COL TAGUILIG presented updates on the implementation of the RCPA Command Guidance, covering Organization, Operations, Intelligence, Civil-Military Operations (CMO), Personnel, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Cyber Systems (C4S), Logistics, and Training for both reservist and active personnel. COL SAMONTE also emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination with Higher Headquarters (HHQs) and ensuring that the CDC remains responsive and relevant in its respective area of responsibility.

In his guidance, COL SAMONTE urged all personnel to continuously pursue self-improvement, professional development, and teamwork to effectively and efficiently contribute to the accomplishment of the CDC’s mission. He emphasized the need for every personnel to remain aligned with the guidance and directives of the Commander, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, particularly in strengthening the Reserve Force and supporting the Land Component Command in its campaign and operational requirements. The engagement served as an opportunity to strengthen coordination and foster closer collaboration between the Reserve Command and the Land Component Command in advancing the development and employment of the Reserve Force.

During the courtesy call, both parties discussed key initiatives on Reserve Force Development, including integration training and other activities that will enhance the readiness, capabilities, and interoperability of reservists in support of the missions of the Land Component Command and its tactical units.
