TSUNAMI SAFETY REMINDERS

• If strong or prolonged shaking is felt in coastal areas, move to higher ground immediately
• Stay away from shorelines, beaches, rivers, and estuaries
• Do not wait for visual confirmation of a tsunami if natural warning signs are present
• Follow evacuation instructions from local authorities

AFTER THE EVENT

• Expect aftershocks and remain alert

In line with post-earthquake safety measures in the Province of Sultan Kudarat, Supplemental Executive Order No. 130-A, Series of 2026 expands the suspension of activities to ensure public safety and allow structural inspections.

Effective 08 June 2026, work in private establishments and all construction activities (public and private) are hereby suspended to give way for safety and structural assessments.

Essential services such as hospitals, emergency response units, DRRM offices, and utility services are exempted, subject to necessary safety precautions.

This measure is implemented to ensure the safety of workers, the public, and all affected establishments.
