3RD SIGNAL BATTALION REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO ETHICAL SERVICE DURING 36TH AFP CODE OF CONDUCT ANNIVERSARY

JAMINDAN, Capiz — The 3rd Signal Battalion, Signal Regiment, Philippine Army (3SBn, SR, PA), reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, accountability, professionalism, and ethical military service during the observance of the 36th AFP Code of Conduct Anniversary on 05 October 2026 at Headquarters 3SBn, SR, PA Camp General Peralta Jr, Jamindan, Capiz.

The observance was conducted through a Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony via Video Teleconference (VTC) hosted by the Signal Regiment, Philippine Army. CPT BRAVNEL M ENCISO (SC) PA, Acting Executive Officer, led the participation of the Battalion together with available Enlisted Personnel and Civilian Human Resource.

The activity highlighted the messages of the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) and the Commander, Signal Regiment, Philippine Army, delivered by COL ALADDIN A JOVE GSC (SC) PA, Deputy Regiment Commander, Signal Regiment, PA. The messages emphasized the continuing responsibility of every military personnel to uphold integrity, discipline, accountability, professionalism, and ethical standards in the performance of duty. The messages further emphasized the AFP Code of Conduct as an enduring ethical framework for military service, providing personnel with principles that guide professional behavior, responsible decision-making, and the proper exercise of authority. The observance reinforced that military effectiveness is measured not only by operational competence and mission accomplishment, but also by the character and ethical standards demonstrated in the fulfillment of responsibilities.

A significant component of the anniversary observance was the renewal of the Pledge of Allegiance to the AFP Code of Conduct, through which personnel collectively reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the principles governing ethical military service. The pledge served as a reminder that adherence to the Code requires more than familiarity with prescribed standards; it demands their consistent application in the decisions, actions, and professional conduct of every member of the organization. This commitment was further reinforced through the accomplishment and signing of the Certification of Concurrence/Non-Concurrence by all 3SBn personnel. The certification provided an individual affirmation of responsibility to observe the AFP Code of Conduct and the ethical standards expected of military personnel, strengthening the principle that institutional integrity is sustained through individual accountability.

Meanwhile, CPT IAN H MISARE (SC) PA represented 3SBn during the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony at Headquarters, 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army, where BGEN HAROLD M ARGAMOSA PA, Assistant Division Commander, 3ID, PA, led the ceremony and delivered the message of the CSAFP.

For 3SBn, the observance served as an opportunity to translate the AFP Code of Conduct from an institutional standard into a continuing professional commitment. As a unit responsible for providing communication and information systems support to the Philippine Army, the Battalion recognizes that mission effectiveness must be anchored not only on technical competence and operational responsiveness, but also on integrity in decision-making, accountability in the performance of duties, discipline in the use of resources, and professionalism in service.
