“LAKAT TA SA LIB!”

The PSHSWVC Library held its Annual Grade 7 Library Orientation yesterday, August 6, 2026, at the Library Reading Area.

During their English class, the library was formally introduced to the freshmen—Batch 2032! With the combined energy of sections Opal, Jade, Sapphire, and Ruby, the space was filled once again with laughter and enthusiastic participation.

The orientation commenced with the introduction of the librarians, Mr. Joseph Dennis Garrido, RL, and Ms. Patricia Eunice Oracion, RL, whom we fondly call "Sir Jo" and "Ma’am Pat." They discussed the library's rules and regulations, its collection, how to read call numbers, how book circulation works, and how the library serves as a place for both learning and relaxation with facilities like the Discussion Room, Librarelax, and Reading Areas. The freshmen also learned how to locate books using the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system.

Motivated by exciting prizes, the students actively participated and proved just how much they learned during the Q&A session. They correctly identified the library's color-coding scheme, the DDC categories, and the expected conduct for Pisay scholars. Even the manangs and manongs joined in on the fun!

And now, on to the next event: Grade 8 Library Instructional Program!

See you in the library!
