The Local Government Unit of Jaro informs the public that it will take part in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on March 12, 2026 at 3:30 PM.

During the drill, employees and visitors within the LGU premises will carry out the standard earthquake safety procedure, “Duck, Cover, and Hold.” Personnel may also temporarily move to designated evacuation areas as part of the exercise.

Please be advised that this activity is only a simulation intended to enhance the earthquake preparedness and response capabilities of our personnel and stakeholders.

We encourage everyone to cooperate and remain calm while the drill is being conducted.

𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘

The Local Government Unit of Jaro, Leyte informs the public of the implementation of the 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 (𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆–𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟳:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠–𝟲:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠), pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 114, a mandate from the Office of the President.

LGU employees will continue to comply with the required 40 working hours per week in accordance with Civil Service Commission guidelines.

Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 22, s. 2024, class suspension is 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗖 from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and ALS whenever an Orange Rainfall Warning is declared by PAGASA, without the need for further announcements from local authorities.

Teachers, school heads, and supervisors are advised NOT to send students home if weather and road conditions are unsafe. Learners should remain in school under proper supervision until it is safe to travel.

The Local Government Unit of Jaro informs the public of the following UNPASSABLE AREAS due to current conditions:

1. Barangay Atipolo – Road is unpassable due to a landslide.
2. Barangay Parasan – Bridge is overflowed and unpassable, particularly along routes going to Barangay Sari-sari and Barangay Badiang.

Motorists and residents are strongly advised to avoid these areas and remain vigilant for further advisories.

Per the latest PAGASA weather bulletin, the eastern portion of Leyte is under TCWS Signal No. 1 due to Tropical Storm Ada.
