Reminder everyone📌📌

I would like to inform everyone that all students from 1st year to 4th year, including day, night, and blended learning students, are required to complete at least five (5) hours of library time this semester.

Starting Monday, August 10, 2026, you may claim your Library Utilization Form at the library. Please note that the form will only be issued once. If it is lost and you request another copy, a corresponding replacement fee will be charged.

Please be informed that each Library Utilization Form bears a unique LUF number. These numbers are recorded and monitored by the library to ensure that only one official form is issued to each student, to maintain accurate library attendance records, and to prevent duplication, unauthorized reproduction, or misuse of the form.

This initiative aims to encourage all students to become familiar with the JBC Library, maximize its resources and services, and appreciate its vital role in supporting your academic success.

Kindly inform your 1st year friends and acquaintances.

🚫 PLEASE DO NOT BORROW, GET, OR REMOVE ANY FS OR THESIS FROM THE SHELVES while the shelf-reading activity is ongoing.

We are checking and arranging the studies to ensure that they are properly organized and in their correct locations.

📢 JBC LIBRARY ATTENDANCE UPDATE

To all JBC Students who have already filled out the Google Form for our Library Attendance System, **thank you so much! 💙📚**

However, we noticed that some submissions have **no barcode uploaded**, while others have:

* Blurred or unclear barcode images
* QR Codes instead of barcodes
* No barcode uploaded at all

Please be reminded that **QR Codes cannot be processed properly for our attendance system because they contain very long data.** We specifically need the **barcode** found on your student ID.

📌 **For 1st Year Students:**
Since you may not have a barcode yet, **please visit the Library** so I can issue you a barcode **for library attendance purposes**.

📌 **For 2nd–4th Year Students:**
If the barcode on your ID is **blurred, damaged, or cannot be detected/scanned**, feel free to **visit the Library**. I will create a **new barcode for you, intended only for Library Attendance purposes.**

This system is being implemented to make your library attendance **faster and easier—less writing, more scanning! 📲✨**

📚 **BARCODE vs. QR CODE: DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE?** 📱

Students, have you noticed that **naa’y code nga tapad sa inyong face sa school ID?** 👀

That is a **BARCODE**! It is different from a **QR CODE**, which looks like a square pattern made up of black and white boxes.

🔍 **Here’s how to tell them apart:**

➡️ **BARCODE** – made up of vertical lines and usually appears as a long, rectangular strip.
➡️ **QR CODE** – made up of small black-and-white squares and has three prominent square patterns in the corners.

💡 **Remember:**
**Lines = BARCODE**
**Squares = QR CODE**

Understanding the difference is important, especially as we use these codes for **library attendance, identification, and accessing digital information.** 📖💻
