School Emergency Response Plan

The Jolo Municipal Fire Station, headed by FSINSP JAYSON T AHIJON, BFP, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, successfully conducted a Crafting of School Emergency Response Plan (SERP) activity at Hji. Hassiman Higad Elementary School, Brgy. Tulay, Jolo, Sulu with a total of 25 participants (composed of teachers and staff) as part of the OLP Program 2026.

The activity aimed to strengthen the preparedness and awareness of the school community in responding to emergencies. The SERP plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and protection of the school, its personnel, and all occupants during unforeseen incidents. 🚒🏫🔥

✨ Free Iftar Program | Fire Prevention Month 2026

In celebration of Community Relations Week, the Jolo Municipal Fire Station conducted a Free Iftar Program at Masjid Amilasan, sharing blessings and strengthening community bonds. A total of 25 food packs were distributed to the murid in the masjid.

Serving with compassion beyond emergencies—because caring for the community is also part of fire service. 🔥🤝🌙

Donate a Fire Extinguisher Program

As part of the celebration of Fire Prevention Month and in line with ComRes Week 5: Donate a Fire Extinguisher Program, the Jolo Municipal Fire Station led by FSINSP JAYSON T AHIJON, BFP donated a 10-lb ABC Type Fire Extinguisher to Laum Alat Elementary School. 🔥🧯

Through this simple gesture, we hope to strengthen fire safety awareness and encourage the school administration to prioritize fire preparedness for the safety of students and staff.

Open House Activity

🚒🔥 A day in the life of a firefighter!

In celebration of Fire Prevention Month and BFP ComRes Week 5, Jolo Municipal Fire Station warmly welcomed the students of Sulu National High School for an Open House Activity.

Students had the opportunity to experience firsthand the real work, dedication, and challenges of our firefighters, inspiring them to become more aware, prepared, and responsible members of the community.

Together, we promote the theme:
“Hangad nating lahat, Pamayanang Handa, Aktibo at Masagana.”

"Roots for Change: Nursery Donation"

In line with the observance of Fire Prevention Month 2026 and as part of its commitment to environmental protection and community engagement, the Jolo Municipal Fire Station participated in the Region-wide “Roots for Change: Nursery Donation”, a Plant for a Cause Project of Region 9.

The activity included the donation of plant seedlings to Salih Yusah Elementary School with a total of 116 seedlings (composed of Petchay, Tomatoes and Eggplant), promoting environmental awareness and a greener community. 🌱🚒

In support of the nationwide Fire Safety Reels Challenge, the Jolo Municipal Fire Station proudly presents its Fire Safety Reel highlighting kitchen safety practices and the proper do’s and don’ts during a grease fire.

🔥 Apoy ng Pag-asa: Adopt a Scholar Program 🔥

The Jolo Municipal Fire Station, under the leadership of FSINSP JAYSON T AHIJON, proudly participated in the historic launching of the Apoy ng Pag-asa: Adopt a Scholar Program of the Bureau of Fire Protection – Sulu.

As part of this meaningful initiative, two deserving senior high students from HBSAT were selected as the recipient of Jolo Municipal Fire Station to receive scholarship support. Through this program, the chosen scholars will be granted financial assistance to help sustain their educational journey until they successfully complete their studies.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the BFP not only to protect lives and properties, but also to ignite hope and invest in the future of the youth through education.
