𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚, 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐦

May mga tao talagang akala nila ang bata ay parang Wi-Fi—kapag nagbayad ka, automatic may full access. O kaya parang hiniram na libro sa library na puwedeng iuwi anumang oras. Ang problema, ang bata ay tao, hindi gamit.

Sa usaping legal, lalo na kung illegitimate/non-marital ang anak, may malaking kaibahan ang pagdalaw at pagkuha. Kahit pa acknowledged ng ama ang anak, kahit nagbibigay pa siya ng sustento buwan-buwan, hindi ibig sabihin noon na puwede na niyang sabihin, "Sige, akin muna 'to ngayong weekend," na parang nagbo-book ng rental car.

Ang tawag diyan ay bisita, hindi hiram.

Parang bisita lang sa bahay ng kaibigan. Puwede kang pumasok kung inimbitahan ka, pero hindi ka puwedeng umuwi dala ang electric fan dahil "nag-ambag naman ako sa kuryente."

Ganito rin sa bata. 𝘼𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣, 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚 𝙨𝙖 𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙮. Hindi rin ito loyalty card na kapag naka-sampung hulog ka, may libreng overnight ang bata.

Ang custody ng illegitimate/Non-marital child ay karaniwang nasa ina, maliban na lang kung may pahintulot siya o may utos ang korte. Kaya kung ang ama ay biglang magsasabing, "Isasama ko muna siya," ang tamang sagot ay hindi "Sige," kundi "Sandali lang... may consent ba ang ina?"

Sa huli, tandaan natin: ang bata ay hindi package na puwedeng i-pick up, hindi food delivery na "Out for Delivery," at lalong hindi item na "Borrowed Successfully."

Kaya sa lahat ng ama na nagmamahal sa kanilang anak, magandang tandaan: Bisita, hindi hiram. Ang pagmamahal ay hindi nasusukat sa pag-uuwi ng bata, kundi sa paggalang sa kanyang karapatan at sa tamang proseso.

🏆 ISANG KARANGALAN PARA SA BAYAN NG KALAMANSIG!

Malugod nating ibinabahagi na ang Municipality of Kalamansig ay muling kinilala ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Sultan Kudarat matapos makamit ang 104% na marka, na nagresulta sa HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL na rating sa CY 2026 Functionality Assessment ng Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC).

Ang tagumpay na ito ay sumasalamin sa matatag na pamumuno ni Mayor Ronan Eugene C. Garcia at sa sama-samang dedikasyon ng ating mga tanggapan, partner agencies, mga barangay, at mga kawani ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Kalamansig sa pagsusulong ng kaligtasan, karapatan, at kapakanan ng kababaihan at mga bata.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng tagumpay na ito. Patuloy nating pag-iibayuhin ang paglilingkod upang mapanatiling ligtas, inklusibo, at mapagkalinga ang ating bayan.

It is a law the seeks to address the prevalence of violence against women and their children (VAWC) by their intimate partners like their husband or ex-husband, live-in partner or former live-in partner, boyfriend/girlfriend or ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend, dating partner or former dating partner.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗥.𝗔. 𝗡𝗼. 𝟵𝟮𝟲𝟮?

Under this law, violence against women and their children may include:

🔹𝙋𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙑𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚– Any act causing bodily harm, such as hitting, slapping, or inflicting injury.
🔹 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙑𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 – Acts that cause emotional suffering, such as threats, intimidation, humiliation, stalking, or repeated verbal abuse.
🔹 𝙎𝙚_𝙭𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙑𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 – Forcing a woman to engage in se_xual acts without her consent.
🔹𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙚 – Controlling or withholding financial support, preventing a woman from working, or depriving her and her children of financial resources.

𝗜𝘀 𝗩𝗔𝗪𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲?
Women can also be liable under the law. These are the le***an partners/girlfriends or former partners of the victim with whom she has or had a sexual or dating relationship.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗥.𝗔. 𝟵𝟮𝟲𝟮?
Under the law, the offended party may file a criminal action, or apply for a Protection Order either as an independent action or as an incident in civil or criminal action and other remedies. The offended party may likewise avail the following protection orders:

a) Barangay Protection Order (BPO): Issued by the Punong Barangay; valid for 15 days.
b) Temporary Protection Order (TPO): Issued by a court; usually valid for 30 days but can be extended.
c) Permanent Protection Order (PPO): Issued by the court after a full trial; effective until revoked.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗥.𝗔. 𝟵𝟮𝟲𝟮?
Any citizen having personal knowledge of the circumstances involving the commission of the crime may file a complaint because violence against women and their children is considered a PUBLIC crime.

𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈-𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓 𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐂𝐓 (𝐕𝐀𝐖𝐂)
