The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) successfully conducted a turnover ceremony of tablet devices to the Provincial Government of Aklan. The devices are intended to support the Provincial Health Office (PHO) in its digital initiatives and enhance the delivery of public health services to its beneficiaries.

The turnover highlights the continued collaboration between DICT Aklan and the Provincial Government of Aklan in promoting the use of digital technologies to support government operations and improve the accessibility and efficiency of public services.

DICT extends its sincere appreciation to the Provincial Government of Aklan headed by Hon. Jose Enrique “Joen” M. Miraflores, Governor, for his support and commitment to digital transformation initiatives. Appreciation is likewise extended to Dr. Leslie Ann Luces Sedillo, Provincial Health Officer II, and the Provincial Health Office, as well as Gabrielle V. Calizo-Quimpo, Executive Director of the Aklan ICT Council, for their support and collaboration in making the turnover possible.

Through continued partnership with the Provincial Government of Aklan and ICT stakeholders, DICT remains committed to advancing digital transformation and promoting technology-enabled, accessible, and efficient government services for the people of Aklan.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) – Aklan Provincial Office successfully conducted a Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) Orientation for personnel of the Social Security System (SSS) Kalibo. The activity aimed to enhance participants’ awareness and understanding of PNPKI and its role in supporting secure, reliable, and efficient digital transactions.

The orientation covered the fundamentals of PNPKI, including digital certificates, electronic signatures, authentication, confidentiality, and data integrity. Participants were also introduced to the practical applications of PNPKI in document authentication, identity verification, and secure digital transactions.

The activity highlighted the importance of adopting secure digital technologies in strengthening electronic processes and promoting trusted digital communications within government institutions.
Through this initiative, DICT Aklan remains committed to promoting digital trust, cybersecurity awareness, and secure digital governance by increasing awareness of PNPKI and encouraging the adoption of reliable digital technologies.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) – Aklan Provincial Office, in partnership with the Province of Aklan and the Aklan ICT Council, successfully conducted a Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) User Training for representatives from various departments of the Province of Aklan. The activity aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in utilizing PNPKI for secure, reliable, and efficient digital transactions in government.

The training covered PNPKI orientation, application processing, installation and configuration of digital certificates, and hands-on activities on digitally signing and securing electronic documents. These activities highlighted the role of digital signatures in supporting secure and paperless government transactions and strengthening the integrity of electronic documents.

DICT Aklan extends its sincere appreciation to Hon. Jose Enrique “Joen” M. Miraflores, Governor of the Province of Aklan, and Gabrielle V. Calizo-Quimpo, Executive Director of the Aklan ICT Council, for their invaluable support and collaboration in making the conduct of the training possible. Appreciation is likewise extended to the representatives from the various departments of the Province of Aklan for their active participation and support.

Through continued collaboration with the provincial government and ICT stakeholders, DICT Aklan remains committed to promoting digital trust, secure digital governance, and efficient government services through the adoption of reliable digital technologies.
