DOLE Aklan Field Office This is the official page of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) - Aklan Field Office.

The Department of Labor and Employment โ€“ Aklan Field Office is a proud extension of a national commitment that began in 1908, when the Philippine government first laid the foundation for labor protection and social justice. As part of DOLE Region VI, our office was established to bring essential labor services closer to Aklanon communities, bridging policy and practice across Kalibo and the provinceโ€™s 17 municipalities. Over the years, we have grown alongside Aklanโ€™s transformation, from agricultural heartland to global tourism destination. We continue to respond to the evolving needs of workers, employers, and local governments. Our office implements key programs such as TUPAD, DILP, SPES, GIP, and labor standards enforcement, while facilitating job fairs, workplace inspections, dispute resolution, and PESO coordination. Guided by the principles of transparency, compassion, and accountability, we continue to serve as a frontline partner in promoting decent work, inclusive livelihood, and industrial peace.

๐Ÿ“Œ VISION
Every Filipino worker attains full, decent, and productive employment.

๐Ÿ“Œ MISSION
To promote gainful employment opportunities, develop human resources, protect workers and promote their welfare, and maintain industrial peace. Today, DOLE Aklan writes its history in serviceโ€”one job, one livelihood, one act of justice at a time.

After graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies from Aklan State University, Johnmark Kenneth Perez faced the challenge of finding work in Kalibo, Aklan. As the first college graduate and the eldest of four siblings, he felt a strong responsibility to support his family.

His opportunity came when he saw a Facebook post from PESO Kalibo about the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Government Internship Program (GIP). He applied and was accepted as a GIP beneficiary at PESO Kalibo, where he gained valuable experience in public service, improved his communication and administrative skills, and learned the importance of serving the community.

Because of his dedication and good performance, Johnmark was later hired by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kalibo as an Administrative Aide (Job Order) assigned to PESO Kalibo. He now assists job seekers, manages office records, and helps implement employment and livelihood programs.

For Johnmark, the Government Internship Program was more than temporary employment. It gave him practical work experience, financial support for his family, and a pathway to a career in public service. His journey shows that with determination and the right opportunity, young graduates can overcome unemployment and build a brighter future.
