Tribong Limbaon Kalinga is a youth-led organization from the Province of Kalinga with the aspiration to keep the spirit of volunteerism among the youth and further engage them in nation-building as well as in serving the community.

The word “Limbaon” originates from the Waray dialect of Eastern Visayas in the Philippines which means Pink. The color Pink, when translated into Tagalog, is “Kalimbahin” or “Rosas”.

• Tribo – the organization used the word “Tribo” or tribe as it is composed of young individuals that shares similar culture, language and interests which is analogous to a tribe.
• Limbaon – the organization also used the word “Limbaon” since the members of the group came across each other during the “Pink Movement” in 2021.

• Tagline: the Baybayin phrase below the logo which translated to “Tumindig at Magsilbi”.

• Profound significance:
*"Limb” – an arm or leg.
*"Baon” – a Filipino word which means snack or something to bring to school, work, or in a voyage.

The words “limb” and “baon” derived from Limbaon represents the organization’s aim to lend a LIMB in leading and serving the community, especially the underprivileged ones, and to provide them a BAON - something that they can bring with them, by way of outreach programs or community services that would benefit and guide them.

This is Tribong Limbaon Kalinga (TLK) Est. 2022.

Keeping the 'Angat Lahat' spirit alive!

In the spirit of bayanihan, Angat Buhay-Kalinga in partnership with Filrose foundation conducts free medical mission and fun-filled children activities at Paligattu Elementary School this November 6.

In line with the free medical mission, services offered were free check-up , free medicines , free hygiene kits and free reading glasses for the elderly were given to the communities.

For the children, a tie-dye session and gift giving activity were facilitated by the volunteers. Gifts such as t-shirts and slippers were given to the children.

It is an enjoyable day for both volunteers and the community as they share their time and smiles for the event. The volunteers thanks the community for their warm welcome and for the stories and memories shared.

LOOK: A new beetle species is named after former vice president Leni Robredo’s Angat Buhay anti-poverty program. The discovery was made by biology student Enrico Gerard Sanchez, thesis adviser Dr. Emmanuel Delocado, and co-adviser Prof. Dr. Hendrik Freitag of the Ateneo Biology Department.
