𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟯𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵

The Municipality of Kapatagan, headed by Municipal Mayor Beth Q. Baguio-Ali, together with Municipal Vice Mayor Barry Y. Baguio, joins the nationwide celebration of the 37th National Statistics Month (NSM) with the theme:

“Tuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Tourism.”

The celebration highlights the vital role of statistics in understanding communities, identifying development opportunities, and guiding evidence-based decisions toward a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future.

For Kapatagan, statistics serve as an important foundation in planning and development—particularly in strengthening local tourism, protecting natural resources, improving public services, and promoting sustainable economic activities. Reliable and timely data enable the Local Government Unit to better understand the needs of its people, assess available resources, measure development progress, and formulate programs and policies responsive to the community.

As Kapatagan continues to promote its natural attractions and tourism potential, including its waterfalls, agricultural landscapes, and other local destinations, the use of accurate statistical information becomes increasingly important. Data can help identify tourism trends, understand visitor needs, improve infrastructure and services, support local enterprises, and ensure that tourism development benefits communities while safeguarding the environment.

Through the leadership of Mayor Beth Q. Baguio-Ali and Vice Mayor Barry Y. Baguio, the Municipality of Kapatagan remains committed to strengthening data-driven governance and supporting initiatives that promote inclusive development, disaster resilience, environmental sustainability, and responsible tourism.

As the nation celebrates the 37th National Statistics Month, Kapatagan joins government agencies, local communities, businesses, academe, and other stakeholders in recognizing the power of statistics to illuminate realities, uncover opportunities, and guide communities toward sustainable progress.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte proudly joins the nationwide celebration of Cooperative Month, recognizing the invaluable contributions of cooperatives in strengthening communities, empowering people, and promoting inclusive and sustainable economic development.
Guided by this year’s theme, “Matibay na Kooperatiba: Nagkakaisang Pamayanan para sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,” the celebration highlights the importance of cooperation, solidarity, and collective action in building peaceful, resilient, and progressive communities.

Cooperatives play a vital role in the economic and social development of Kapatagan. They provide opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs, workers, and community members to improve their livelihoods through shared resources, access to services, capacity building, and collective enterprises. More than economic organizations, cooperatives foster a culture of unity, mutual support, responsibility, and empowerment.

The LGU of Kapatagan, under the leadership of Mayor Beth Q. Baguio-Ali, together with Municipal
Vice Mayor Barry Y. Baguio, recognizes cooperatives as valuable partners in advancing the municipality’s development goals. The local government continues to support initiatives that strengthen cooperatives, enhance their capacities, expand livelihood opportunities, and encourage greater participation in local economic development.

This celebration is also an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication of cooperative leaders, members, and stakeholders who continue to work together for the betterment of their communities. Their commitment demonstrates that when people unite around a common purpose, meaningful and lasting development becomes possible.

As we celebrate Cooperative Month, the LGU of Kapatagan calls on all cooperatives and their members to continue strengthening partnerships, embracing innovation, promoting good governance, and upholding the cooperative spirit of unity and shared responsibility.
