October 7, 2026 โ Kiamba MPS personnel, under the supervision of PMAJ JERRY F BALUNTO, Chief of Police, conducted a Campus Safety Protocol Awareness Orientation and Drill at Platon Esperanza Taguding Elementary School, Barangay Badtasan, Kiamba, Sarangani Province, spearheaded by Ms. Lilia S. Fantone, School Head, pursuant to the MOA between Kiamba MPS and DepEdโKiamba District.
Pat Camille Jessa D Javier, FJGAD/Traffic and Traffic Investigation PNCO, served as the resource person and discussed campus safety protocols, emergency preparedness, appropriate safety responses, communication, and coordination during critical situations.
The orientation was followed by a controlled awareness drill. A water gun containing washable red liquid was utilized as a visual training aid, with the assigned holder allowed to spray participants within reachable range. Participants who were hit and stained were identified as simulated casualties for post drill assessment of their movement, actions, and response.
Participants then applied the discussed safety protocols through appropriate movement, communication, coordination, and proceeding to designated safe areas during the simulated campus threat. After the threat was declared neutralized, accountability and headcount were conducted, followed by post evaluation and debriefing.
As part of the activity, Kiamba MPS established a Police Assistance Desk (PAD) equipped with the Kiamba MPS Hotline, Unified Emergency Hotline 911, and 911 QR Code. The PAD also featured the SPPO Project Speak Up Box, incorporating the Kiamba MPS innovation โKay Ate Pulis, Mahalaga ang Kwento Moโ for the primary level, providing learners with an additional avenue to speak, be heard, seek guidance, and raise concerns that may otherwise remain unspoken.
