As part of the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Municipal Government of Kiangan joined the Lingkod Bayani Outreach Program for the learners of Ubuag Elementary School and the community of Ubuag, Hingyon, Ifugao.

The activity was spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission – Ifugao, with the participation of various LGUs in the province, partner agencies, and stakeholders who came together to extend meaningful services and support to the community.

The outreach program highlights the spirit of Lingkod Bayani—bringing public service beyond the office and closer to the people.

Together, let us continue to serve, reach out, and make a difference in our communities.

Kiangan Mini Hydro Corporation (KMHC) CEO Eduardo M. Miranda, together with his staff, paid a courtesy visit to Municipal Mayor Raldis Andrei A. Bulayungan and Vice Mayor Michelle Alice B. Baguilat.

During the visit, KMHC provided an update on the Kiangan Mini Hydro Power Project, the meeting also served as an opportunity to discuss the project's ongoing implementation and its continued development in the municipality.

𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍: 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐊𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐍 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝟏𝟐𝟔𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘 🌱

The MLGU of Kiangan and BFP Kiangan joined various government agencies in Ifugao in the Luntiang Pook Bayan: Tree-Growing Activity, organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office–Ifugao as part of the celebration of the CSC 126th Anniversary.

Held at the Ifugao State University (IFSU) Ecopark in Mabato-bato, Lamut, Ifugao, the activity brought together civil servants in a shared effort to promote environmental responsibility and strengthen cooperation among government offices.

As the culminating activity of the anniversary celebration, the tree-growing activity reflected the commitment of public servants to serve the people while caring for the environment.

𝟑𝐑𝐃 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐂-𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐂-𝐋𝐒𝐁 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

The Municipal Government of Kiangan conducted its 3rd Quarter MPOC-MADAC-LSB Meeting at the Sangguniang Bayan Hall, attended by LGU officials and employees, partner agencies, and stakeholders. The meeting was presided over by Vice Mayor Michelle Alice B. Baguilat.

The meeting featured reports, updates, and accomplishments from various offices and partner agencies, including:

📌 Local School Board (LSB) – Updates on the utilization of the Special Education Fund (SEF) from January to September, interventions on bullying, and the Kiangan-Lahat Laban sa Bullying (KKB), a KAAGAPAY project.

📌 Kiangan PNP – Updates on the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan 2026, targets and accomplishments, significant 3rd quarter operations, and anti-illegal drug activities.

📌 BFP Kiangan – Reports on fire safety inspections and Fire Code fee collection, fire incidents, emergency medical response, trainings, information and education campaigns (IEC), tree planting, flushing activities, and other operations.

📌 BJMP – Updates on the safekeeping of persons deprived of liberty, joint greyhound operations, drug testing, the “Tagapangalaga Ko, G**o Ko” Program, ALS, skills development trainings such as electrical installation, ma*onry, and tile setting, as well as preventive searches against contraband.

📌 MSWDO – Updates on Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) and Children at Risk (CAR), including interventions provided and identified ways forward.

📌 Philippine Army – Updates on the area of operations, threat situation, sustainment efforts, and ways ahead.

📌 PDEA – Presentation on the institutionalization or establishment of the Balay Silangan Reformation Program (BSRP) and the annual ADAC performance audit rating. A MADAC Resolution requesting the Sangguniang Bayan of Kiangan to authorize the MADAC Chairperson to institutionalize or establish the BSRP was presented, noted, and carried as a motion.

The meeting also provided an avenue to raise questions, discuss concerns, identify necessary actions, and give important reminders to strengthen coordination and support peace, safety, education, and community welfare in the municipality.

The MLGU of Kiangan proudly congratulates Ma’am Beryl Balog Calingayan, daughter of Oliver and Analyn Balog of Poblacion, Kiangan, Ifugao, for her outstanding academic and professional achievements.

Recently, Beryl graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management from Gardner College Inc., Diliman, Quezon City. She also passed the Real Estate Appraiser Licensure Examination in July 2026.

Previously, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering from Nueva Vizcaya State University in 2023 and passed the Geodetic Engineering Licensure Examination in November 2023.

She is also a part of the LGU of Kiangan, serving as Tax Mapper I under the Municipal Assessor’s Office.

Her achievements are a source of pride to her family, the Municipality of Kiangan, and the Province of Ifugao, and an inspiration to fellow public servants and the youth.

𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐃𝐏𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐄

The MLGU of Kiangan, through its Inspectorate Team, inspected the Geomembrane High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) welding machine in support of the engineering requirements for Cell 1 of the Sanitary Landfill located in Culong, Hucab, Kiangan, Ifugao.

The inspection is part of the LGU’s compliance with the requirements of the Environmental Management Bureau – Cordillera Administrative Region (EMB-CAR) for the sanitary landfill project.

The Municipal Government of Kiangan (MLGU), through the Municipal Agriculture Office, led this week’s regular flag-raising ceremony.

In celebration of World Rabies Month, Dr. Myco Pataueg, Acting Municipal Agriculturist delivered an informative lecture on Rabies Awareness, followed by an engaging question-and-answer session.

What is Rabies?

🐾 𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗘𝗦: 𝗠𝗬𝗧𝗛𝗦 & 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗦
❌MYTH: Kapag alagang a*o, hindi magkaka-rabies.�✅ FACT: Kahit alagang a*o ay maaaring magkaroon ng rabies kung hindi bakunado o na-expose sa infected na hayop.

❌ MYTH: Kapag walang dugo ang kagat o kalmot, walang rabies.�✅ FACT: Kahit maliit na sugat o kalmot ay maaaring maging exposure.

❌ MYTH: Lagyan ng toothpaste, bawang, o s**a ang kagat.�✅ FACT: Hugasan agad ang sugat gamit ang sabon at umaagos na tubig nang hindi bababa sa 15 minuto.

❌ MYTH: Hintayin muna ang sintomas bago magpa-anti-rabies.�✅ FACT: Huwag maghintay. Agad na magpakonsulta sa pinakamalapit na Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTC).

❌ MYTH: Mukhang healthy ang a*o kaya siguradong walang rabies.�✅ FACT: Hindi sapat ang itsura ng hayop para malaman kung may rabies ito.

❌ MYTH: A*o lang ang maaaring mag-transmit ng rabies.�✅ FACT: Maaari ring maipasa ang rabies ng ibang infected mammals, gaya ng pusa at paniki.

🧼 𝗔𝗡𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗧 𝗚𝗔𝗪𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗦 𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗧 𝗢 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗧?
1. WASH 🧼 – Hugasan agad ang sugat gamit ang sabon at umaagos na tubig nang hindi bababa sa 15 minuto.
2. DISINFECT – Gumamit ng angkop na antiseptic tulad ng povidone-iodine, kung mayroon.
3. SEEK MEDICAL CARE 🏥 – Magpunta agad sa pinakamalapit na ABTC o healthcare facility para sa assessment at kinakailangang treatment.

📢 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦
The MDRRM Office announced that starting this month, financial assistance for dog and cat bite cases will no longer be provided. Those seeking assistance may secure a Certificate of Indigency from the MSWDO.

The HRMO announced the Provincial Tree Growing Activity in Lamut tomorrow Sept. 22, 2026 as part of the 126th Civil Service celebration and shared the message of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

Meanwhile, the ESWM Office requested the Inspectorate Team to inspect the Geomembrane Liner Welding Machine and announced the National Cleanup Day, where barangays conducted creek clean-up activities with ESWM staff.

Mayor Raldis Andrei A. Bulayungan reminded everyone about understanding, forgiveness, respect, and unity in public service: “We may have differences, but there should always be room in our hearts of understanding and forgiveness. The Lord knows everything, He knows what’s in our hearts. —For our part, let us do our work, let us greet one another with respect, let us be careful with our words, and let us remember that despite the difficulties we may face we remain as one LGU, to do our responsibility and that is to serve our people faithfully.”

The ceremony ended with Mam Ginette leaving everyone with a meaningful reminder:
