The South Cotabato Youth Development Council (SCYDC) successfully conducted their 7th Monthly Meeting on October 6, 2026, at Cinco Niรฑas, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato.

The meeting was presided by Mr. Justine L. Kamal, Chairperson- Committee on Peace Building and Security, in behalf of Hon. Vincent Figueroa, SKPF President, bringing together youth leaders and stakeholders to discuss matters concerning youth development, representation, and the continuous strengthening of youth governance in the Province of South Cotabato.

The OPG- Office of the Provincial Youth Development Officer conducted preparatory meeting with the 39th Infantry Battalion (39IB),Municipal Government of Tampakan, and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation undertake initial coordination and planning for the upcoming Provincial Youth Leadership Summit & Camp (PYLSC) 2027.

The PYLSC 2027 aims to provide a meaningful platform for strengthening youth leadership, fostering civic responsibility, and promoting the active participation of young people in community development and nation-building.

The Office of the Provincial Governor- Office of the Provincial Youth Development Office was recognized as partner agency in strengthening health system, promoting health equity, and advancing the goals of Universal Health Care during the Pugay Pangkalusugan 2026 Regional Awards held at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City.
With the theme "Recognizing Excellence in Action: Empowering SOCCSKSARGEN Towards a Stronger Universal Health Care,".

The regional awarding ceremony was organized by the Department of Health - Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN Region to honor outstanding health facilities, programs, and personnel across the region.

The recognition was received by Ms. Jobeelyn Baitus-Corilla, LPT, MPA, YDO III, and Mr. Ray Z. Lorenzo, LPT, MPA, YDO I, on behalf of the office.

This recognition highlights the important role of youth development in promoting health and well-being, strengthening partnerships, and supporting programs that contribute to the achievement of Universal Health Care (UHC).

The OPG-OPYDO remains committed to working alongside health institutions, local government units, and other stakeholders in empowering young people and building healthier, more resilient communities.

Applications are now open for the SAFE SPACES PROJECT CHALLENGE: โ‚ฑ1.5 Million in Seed Grants for Youth-Led Solutionsโ€”a nationwide initiative empowering young people to turn their ideas into concrete projects that create safer, more inclusive, and more peaceful spaces.

Form a team of five (5) representatives, choose your project pillarโ€”Safe Schools, Safe Communities, or Safe Conversationsโ€”and develop a proposal that responds to a real challenge in your school or community.

Selected organizations will undergo a 3-day intensive mentoring and project incubation camp, where teams will work closely with mentors to strengthen their proposals and prepare to pitch for seed grant support.

Please be informed of the following updates regarding the M&E 2027 Encoding and the SK Web Portal:

1๏ธโƒฃ M&E 2027 Encoding Deadline
Due to the postponement of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE), the M&E 2027 Encoding (PPAs and GAP 2026) will follow the original deadline of February 28, 2027.

๐Ÿ“Œ All concerned users are advised to complete the required encoding and ensure that all necessary data and information are properly submitted within the prescribed period.

2๏ธโƒฃ SK Web Portal Maintenance
In line with the BSKE and system realignment, the SK Web Portal will undergo maintenance and will be temporarily unavailable throughout October 2026. The portal will resume operations on November 4, 2026.

At bahagi nito ang kabataan. Hindi kailangang maging SK official para matutong makilahok sa governance. Maaaring magsimula sa pag-unawa kung paano gumagana ang barangay.

Kaya maaaring isabuhay ang Governance sa pamamagitan ng mga programang tulad ng Youth Governance Academy, SK/KK Orientation, Policy-Making Workshop, Youth Policy Lab, Mock Legislative Session, Youth Participatory Budgeting, Barangay Governance Forum, Public Consultation, Youth Data & Research Training, Transparency & Accountability Workshop, at Leadership Development Program.
