π« π§Ή Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Activityπ§Ή π«

The Alternative Learning System (ALS) Lake Sebu East District actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program held at Lake Sebu Central Elementary School in support of the Department of Education's annual school preparation initiative.
Led by our District ALS Focal Person, Simon T. Tanael, ALS personnel joined various Brigada Eskwela activities across the district, demonstrating their commitment to fostering a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for all learners.
Likewise, Aquilino Butihen Jr. actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off held at Talisay Integrated School, contributing to the spirit of volunteerism and community partnership that characterizes Brigada Eskwela.
The ALS family remains steadfast in supporting programs that strengthen collaboration among educators, stakeholders, and community members to ensure quality education and a conducive learning environment for every learner.

Headline: π Empowering Lifelong Learners: ALS Teachers and Implementers Gear Up for the Revised Curriculum in Lake Sebu!
To further strengthen inclusive education and provide better opportunities for out-of-school youth and adult learners, an intensive 3-Day Training on the Revised Alternative Learning System (ALS) Curriculum was successfully conducted from May 20 to 22, 2026.
The capacity-building seminar gathered dedicated ALS teachers and community implementers at the scenic Gonol Lemobung Resort and Restaurant in Poblacion, Lake Sebu.

Today marks a milestone of perseverance and hope as we celebrate the Basic Literacy Program (BLP) Completion Ceremony of Lembob and T'lehek Community Learning Centers (CLC). Nestled in the heart of Sitio Lembob, Brgy. Lamlahak, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. this ceremony is a testament to the power of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) in reaching every learner, regardless of distance or circumstance.
We are honored to have the presence and guidance of our District ALS Focal Person Sir Simon Tanael, whose leadership continues to drive the success of our local programs.
This achievement was made possible through the unwavering support of our dedicated community leaders: Hon. Avelino M. Nalon (Barangay Chairperson), Hon. Nervy L. Sadam (SK Chairperson), and Norlito T. Timbang (Sitio Leader). Together with our passionate ALS Implementers, we continue to prove that education is a shared responsibility.

ALS implementers had a productive meeting at Brgy. Lake Seloton with our dedicated community partners, Hon. Antonio S. Ado (Brgy. Committee chair on Education) IPMR Nenita Maguan.
This engagement was successfully conducted under the guidance of our Cluster Head, Ma'am Jovelyn Alon, alongside Ma'am Twinkle Tinggal, Ma'am Libeth Sabang, and Ma'am Maricel Duclayan. Our team also took the time to visit Sitio Lemblulan Brgy. Lake Seloton to further understand the local context and needs of our stakeholders.
When the school and the barangay walk hand-in-hand, we create a more inclusive and supportive environment for every learner.

π Activity Update: Strengthening Community Roots through Pre-Mapping and Orientation
We have successfully wrapped up our Second Week of Pre-Mapping and Pre-Orientation Activities, marked by productive field visits, collaborative consultations, and strong community engagement across Lake Sebu.
This weekβs milestones were made possible through the dedicated leadership of our Focal Person sir Simon T. Tanael and cluster heads Maam Josefa L. Tanael and sir Benito Kagi, who personally visited the heart of our communities at sitio Datal Ligaw, Brgy. Tasiman Lak Sebu South Cotabato to ensure the success of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) initiatives. Our hardworking ALS Implementers also conducted intensive pre-mapping and orientation activities at Brgy. Lamlahak, laying the groundwork for inclusive education in the area. And a significant courtesy call was paid to the local leadership at Brgy T'kunel. We express our deepest gratitude to Hon. Manuel D. Bangan, Barangay Kagawad and Committee on Education, for the warm reception and support.
These pre-mapping efforts are vital in identifying and reaching our learners, ensuring that no one is left behind as we prepare for the upcoming cycle. By working closely with barangay officials and community leaders, we are building a stronger bridge between education and the people of South Cotabato.
