In an effort to enhance the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) and promote continuous improvement, the Philippine Commercial Vehicle Show recently organized the PUVM-JEEP Mindanao Transport Forum. This event aimed to make it easier for transport service entities in Mindanao to access and learn more about the latest products and services. By bringing these offerings closer to Mindanao cooperatives and corporations, the forum encouraged them to embrace innovations and support the governmentโs plans and programs. The event took place at the Aquilino Q. Pimentel Jr. International Convention Center, Cagayan de Oro, on December 7, 2023.
The event brought together several national agencies, including the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (Region 9, 10, 12, and Caraga Region), the Office of the Transport Cooperative, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), and different transport cooperatives.
It also covered the display and presentation of products from various manufacturers. In addition, it is encouraging to see the strong support from manufacturers, stakeholders, and transport cooperatives and corporations for the government's Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP). This support is crucial in ensuring the entire Philippine transportation industry is transformed into a global standard, offering accessible, safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation for Filipinos nationwide.
