A Technical Assistance activity on the SubayBAYAN Portal System was successfully conducted on May 28, 2026 in the municipalities of Tantangan, and Tampakan to assist LGU focal persons in improving their project monitoring and reporting processes.
The activity focused on guiding participants on the proper uploading of required documents in the SubayBAYAN system and discussing the current status of projects under their respective LGUs based on the assessment results conducted last April 2026.
The morning session took place at LGU Tantangan together with MLGOO Fiorello G. Elizaga, where focal persons were oriented on the correct procedures in updating project information, attaching supporting documents, and ensuring the completeness of reports in the system. A courtesy visit was also made with Mayor Timee Joy G. Torres-Gonzales, emphasizing the importance of accurate and timely reporting in strengthening transparency and accountability in project implementation.
In the afternoon, the technical assistance continued at LGU Tampakan in coordination with MLGOO Marijovy C. Manzano. Discussions focused on addressing concerns encountered by focal persons in using the SubayBAYAN portal, clarifying documentation requirements, and reviewing project statuses reflected in the recent assessment. A courtesy visit was likewise conducted with Mayor Leonard T. Escobillo, RN, recognizing the support of the local government in ensuring compliance with monitoring and reporting standards.
The activity served as an avenue to strengthen coordination between DILG and the LGUs while enhancing the capability of focal persons in managing and maintaining accurate project data in the SubayBAYAN system. Through continuous guidance and collaboration, LGUs are better equipped to monitor project implementation and deliver updated, reliable, and transparent information for the benefit of the community.

DILG South Cotabato, through its PDMU, Conducts Orientation on the Rice Distribution Project and Provides Technical Assistance on SubayBAYAN in the Municipalities of Surallah and Sto. NiΓ±o
The DILG South Cotabato, through the PDMU, successfully conducted an orientation on the Rice Distribution Project under the Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (FALGU) Program, along with Technical Assistance on the SubayBAYAN System, on May 20, 2026 in the Municipalities of Surallah and Sto. Nino.
The activity aimed to orient concerned local government units and stakeholders on the project guidelines, implementation processes, fund utilization, monitoring mechanisms, and reporting requirements to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the program.
During the orientation, the team discussed the roles and responsibilities of participating LGUs in the proper distribution of rice assistance to identified beneficiaries. Moreover, Technical Assistance on the SubayBAYAN System was provided to further strengthen the municipalitiesβ capabilities in project monitoring, documentation, and compliance reporting.
The activity reflects the continued commitment of DILG South Cotabato in providing guidance and support to local government units toward the successful implementation of government programs and initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, and efficient public service delivery.

South Cotabato strengthens inter-agency coordination ahead of CY 2025 Peace and Order Council (POC) Performance Audit
In a unified effort to strengthen peace and order governance, the South Cotabato Peace and Order Provincial Audit Committee (PAC) conducted a coordination meeting today, May 14, 2026, via Zoom in preparation for the CY 2025 POC Performance Audit.
The activity gathered key officials and stakeholders, including Provincial Director PCol Samuel T Cadungon and personnel from the South Cotabato Police Provincial Office (SCPPO), Provincial Fire Marshal FSupt Anamei J Legaste, DSC and staff from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), representatives from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and PLGU South Cotabato SAO Maria Sally M. Palma.
The meeting underscored the critical role of collaboration and shared responsibility in ensuring the functionality and effectiveness of local Peace and Order Councils. It also served as an important platform for levelling off understanding on the implementation of the POC Audit MC Policy, particularly on the roles, responsibilities, audit flow, and documentary requirements expected from participating agencies and stakeholders.
As South Cotabato prepares for the CY 2025 POC Performance Audit, the activity highlighted the provinceβs commitment to accountability, preparedness, and strengthened inter-agency coordination in sustaining peace, public safety, and responsive governance for the people of South Cotabato.

The South Cotabato Provincial GAD TWG members, with the DILG Focal Person actively participated in the βFine-tuning GADvocates: A Training on Gender and Development Concepts, Tools and Mechanisms for GAD Focal Personsβ held on May 12β14, 2026 at Greenstate Suites, Koronadal City.
The activity strengthened participantsβ understanding of GAD concepts, tools, and mechanisms, while reinforcing their commitment to gender-responsive governance and inclusive local development. Through collaborative workshops, discussions, and practical applications, participants enhanced their capacity to mainstream Gender and Development initiatives in their respective offices and LGUs.
