🔵 6. Proteksyon sa Kalikasan at NO TO MINING sa Koronadal

No to mining, yes to life. No to destruction, yes to preservation.

As we approach the final days of our campaign, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every member of the PBMYG Team—our candidates, convenors, and supporters.

You embody the true spirit of unity and compassion, always championing the welfare of our community and the greater good of Koronadal. Though we may be newcomers to public service, what defines us is our sincere commitment to uplift and serve our beloved city.

Our mission is to build meaningful relationships with every Koronadaleño—connections grounded in empathy, attentiveness to the needs of our kasimanwa, and a collective vision for a better, more inclusive Koronadal.

Every action you take will have a reaction, but that should never discourage you from moving forward.

As long as you stay true to your heart and your advocacy, it will provide the fuel you need for your journey in life and within yourself.

For me, my vision for my beloved Koronadal is to build a better city through innovative governance and sustainable, eco-friendly development—one that prioritizes both the people and the environment.

For more than a decade, I have dedicated myself to the advocacy of environmental sustainability and protection of livelihood. I had the honor of being one of the Convenors of the late Gina Lopez for Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection, a movement that focused on preserving our natural resources and defending the livelihood of our farmers and indigenous communities.

Together with Mam Gina, we openly opposed the open-pit mining project in our province, a project that poses irreversible damage to our environment and threatens the very backbone of our economy: our farmers.

South Cotabato is the food basket of our country. Mining in our lands endangers the source of our food, our clean water, and the health of future generations.

I will never forget Gina Lopez’s words to me:

Those words are now a promise I carry with me. And as I seek a seat in the City Council of Koronadal, I make it clear:
I will fight for the passage of a local ordinance banning all forms of destructive mining within our city. I will push for a strong resolution declaring Koronadal’s united opposition to open-pit mining, in defense of our people’s health, safety, and livelihood.

Our strength lies not in what’s beneath the ground, but in the hands of our farmers, in the beauty of our rivers and mountains, and in the unity of a community that values life over profit.

Let us honor Gina’s legacy. Let us protect South Cotabato. Say no to open-pit mining. Say yes to a sustainable and secure future for all..

As I run for public office, I constantly remind myself to stay focused on my advocacy and platform. Along the way, there will be distractions—some will oppose me, some will find faults in me, and even those I once helped may turn against me.

Every word I speak, every step I take, every post I make on social media will be scrutinized, praised by some and criticized by others. But if I allow myself to be consumed by these distractions, I risk losing sight of the real reason I chose this path—the advocacy, the platform, and the programs I want to bring to the people.

Now that election time is here and the noise grows louder, I choose to stay grounded. My heart remains steadfast, my mind focused on the platform I believe in. This is why I stand firm—because I am here to push for the change and progress that the people deserve.

A Legacy of Public Service: The Dideles Family Story

Public service runs deep in our family. It all started with my father, Cesar "Tekboy" Dideles, the first in our family to enter politics. I vividly remember a dinner conversation where my mother questioned his decision to run for office. As a high school student at the time, I listened intently. My father, however, remained steadfast in his desire to serve.

When election day came, my father ran for a municipal council seat but lost by just a few points. I still recall his words to my mother after that loss—words that would shape our family's journey in public service. He told her, "Ikaw na lang madagan kay damo ka mga amiga" (You should run instead, since you have many friends). With some hesitation but a heart full of determination, my mother, Rose Dideles, took on the challenge—and she won.

As her son, I remember how our family worked tirelessly to support her. My father drove our old jeepney from purok to purok, campaigning with my mother. It was a joy to see the people gather, listening to her speeches and embracing her vision. Her dedication and love for the community resonated deeply, and she consistently secured a spot in the top three of every election she joined.

My father later pursued public service again, this time running for Barangay Captain. On his first attempt, he won by a mere three votes—proof that every vote truly counts.

What I admire most about my parents is their unwavering dedication to public service, even at the expense of their own well-being. My father suffered from kidney disease and had to undergo dialysis, yet he would reschedule his treatments to attend government sessions. My mother, too, sacrificed her health, suffering a mild stroke while still serving in office. Despite their ailments, their commitment never wavered. They put the needs of the people above their own, embodying what it truly means to be public servants.

Our home was always filled with visitors—from morning until midnight. It was a house that never slept, always open to those who sought help. But when my father’s condition worsened, we convinced my mother to step back from politics and focus on his health. That was when we entrusted the legacy of service to our youngest sibling, FR Dideles.

With the unwavering support of our family and our loyal supporters, FR won a seat in the City Council. It was not an easy path. He was entrusted with one of the most challenging committees—transportation—but he embraced the role with dedication and perseverance. For nine years, he fought for the rights and welfare of the transport sector, earning their respect and love. Now, as he seeks a higher office, we remain grateful for the continued support of the people who believe in our family’s mission.

One of the greatest lessons our parents instilled in us is that leadership is about service. A true leader must first be a servant, putting the needs of the people above personal gain. Whether we win or lose, we must always stand by our principles and remain committed to the values that guide us.

As we face yet another challenging election, we stand firm in the values our parents taught us. We will continue to serve with integrity, honesty, and unwavering dedication. Public service is a trust, and for us, the people will always come first.

To our supporters, thank you for standing with us for more than a decade. Your trust and belief in our family fuel our passion for service. Together, we will continue the journey of making our city a better place for everyone.

Maraming salamat!

Join Our Sunday Caravan for the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Community in Koronadal!

For many years, I have been committed to supporting the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community in South Cotabato and Koronadal City. As part of this advocacy, we have established a Sunday Caravan dedicated to uplifting our IP brothers and sisters.
Every Sunday, we conduct feeding programs, distribute children’s clothes, and engage with the community to understand their needs and aspirations. Some of the key concerns they have shared include the need for solar lights in their sitios and water pumps for a reliable water supply.

I invite everyone to be part of this mission! You can support our caravan in many ways:

✅ Donate old clothes, books, and bags for the education of IP children.
✅ Contribute basic solar lights or slippers for the children.
✅ Join us by bringing packed food on Sundays and sharing a meal with the community.

📍 How to Donate:
You may drop off your donations at Infoactiv Solutions, Rizal St., in front of KCES or contact my secretary, Mina Cabang, at 0994-002-7597 for coordination.

🙏 Thank You in Advance!
Tomorrow, February 7, we will be at Lower Acub, San Isidro. I encourage everyone to join us and be part of this meaningful initiative. Together, we can make a difference!
