| October 14, 2025, RAFC (Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council) SOX Chairman Florante M. Racosas together with PAFC Chairpersons joined the 18th Philippine National Corn Congress - Mindanao Cluster on October 14-16, 2025 at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City.

Under the theme: “Magkauban sa Paglambo sa Moderno ug Mauswagong Maisan”, spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture, in partnership with the Philippine Maize Foundation Inc.

The congress brings together a diverse group, including: Representatives from Regions IX to BARMM, Farmers and Representatives from CAR and Regions I-VIII, Provincial and Local Government Units of SOCCSKSARGEN, Visitors from DA attached bureaus and agencies.

The event features exciting exhibits, technology showcases, and discussions aimed at: Promoting a modern and progressive corn industry. Strengthening connections among stakeholders and beneficiaries for the continuous development of the country's corn sector.

Let's support our local corn farmers and the development of the corn industry!

| The Chairpersons of the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF) National Sectoral Committees (NSCs) and Regional Agricultural and Fishery Councils (RAFCs) met with Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr. in Malate, Manila on September 18, 2025.
As part of the government’s commitment to listen and act on the realities faced by our farmers and fishers, the dialogue highlighted key issues and concerns from the ground. Secretary Laurel, in turn, responded to the concerns raised and laid out corresponding solutions.
Mr. Raul Montemayor, National Manager of the Federation of Free Farmers and member of the NSC on Rice, urged the Secretary to further strengthen PCAF.
“We all come and go, but PCAF is the institution for consultation. So palakasin natin siya,” he emphasized.

| September 18, 2025 Ginanap sa OPAG Compound, Koronadal City ang PARLIAMENTARY RESOLUTION MAKING para sa ating AFC Coordinators and Chairperson ng South Cotabato. The activity was spearheaded by the PAFC South Cotabato. Layunin nito na mas mapalakas ang kakayahan at partisipasyon ng ating agri-fishery sector ng reheyon dose.

𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍 | Nakatanggap ng ₱5-milyong pinansyal na tulong ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Tampakan, South Cotabato mula kay Department of Agriculture 12 Regional Executive Director Roberto T. Perales para sa KADIWA Program noong Setyembre 3, 2025 sa Koronadal City, South Cotabato, na layong palakasin ang marketing at production activities bilang suporta sa adhikain ng pamahalaan na mapaunlad ang mga lokal na prodyuser at patatagin ang food systems ng bansa. | August 27, 2025, Chairs of the RAFC, PAFC, CAFC, and MAFC headed by Jocelyn G. Romasanta, MPA RAFC Coordinator on behalf of RAFC Chairman - Florante Racosas came together to discuss future plans for agricultural and fishery extension services during the Regional Consultation on Agriculture and Fishery Extension Development held at Habi Hotel Korondal City.

The event was spearheaded/hosted by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII) .

In his welcome remarks, ATI XII OIC Center Director Jessie V. Beldia, Ph.D., assured the strong support of the institute in advancing extension services in the region. The activity was facilitated by Teofilo T. Jumawan, Jr., Planning Officer II of ATI XII, who guided participants through collaborative discussions that generated valuable ideas to enhance the center’s programs.

This important consultation reaffirmed a key principle: the voices of our farmers and fisherfolk continue to serve as the guiding light in shaping a more responsive and meaningful agricultural direction for Region XII.

| August 20, 2025, A meaningful day for PAFC Sultan Kudarat as they held their meeting together with PCAF OIC-Chief Partnership Development Division, Ms. Concheta “Cheng” Del Rosario, and PCAF Coordinator for RAFC SOX, Ms. Khare Lozada. ❤

The gathering became extra special as we joyfully celebrated the advance birthday and retirement of our beloved Ma’am Cheng! 🎉🎂🍾

AUGUST 8, 2025 | MAYOR EPG, TINIYAK ANG SUPORTA NG PAMAHALAAN SA BAGONG MAFC
MALAKI ang pagrespeto at paggalang ni Kabacan Mayor Evangeline Pascua-Guzman sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda sa bayan lalo at kung wala ang mga ito, tiyak na walang pagkaing mailalapag sa bawat hapag ng Kabakeño.
Kaugnay nito, sa pagpupulong ng mga representante ng mga magsasaka’t mangingisda sa bayan, pinasalamatan nito ang bawat isa lalo at sila ang isang backbone sa kaunlaran ng bayan.
Hinikayat din nito ang mga opisyales ng Municipal Agricultural and Fishery Council (MAFC) na nawa’y ipagpatuloy ang pagbibigay ng impormasyon sa kanilang mga kapwa magsasaka’t mangingisda sa mga programa ng pamahalaan para sa kanilang sektor.
Tiniyak din nito ang suporta ng pamahalaan sa kanilang mga programa at layunin.
Inanyayahan din nito ang bawat isa na nawa’y daluhan ang isasagawang Farmer’s and Fisherfolks’ day na isa sa mga nakahelerang aktibidad sa kapistahan.
Dinaluhan naman ni RAFC Chair Florante Racosas, RAFC Coordinator Jocelyn Romasanta, PAFC Chair Tiny Tamayo, PAFC Coordinator Vladimir Eusala, at MLGOO Helen Grace De Justo-Sayon ang nasabing pagbuo ng bagong MAFC ng Kabacan.
Naniniwala din ang mga ito na ang pagbuo ng matatag na MAFC sa bawat bayan ay magbubukas ng malawak na koneksyon para sa sektor ng mga magsasaka’t mangingisda.
