It took me a while to post this today, kay hangtud karon, galisod pa gyud ko og dawat nga two years na diay sukad nawala ka, Ma. There are days nga okay ra ko, pero naa gyud mga moments nga kalit lang ko gamingawon saimo, and I wish I could have just one more day with you.
My Mama was one of the warmest people you could ever meet. She had this way of making people feel welcome, nga murag dugay na mo magkaila bisan bag-o pa mo nagkita. She was the kind of person nga dili lisod duolon, dali pakisamahan, ug dali higugmaon. Her warmth wasnโt only felt by our family, but even by the people around her.
Kay akong Mama, sweet pero feisty! She knew when to be soft, but she also knew when to be firm. Hahaha!
One of my unforgettable memories with her was when I was younger and grabe kaayo ko kalaagan. Grabe, Ma! She wanted to keep me safe, even if her way of showing it wasnโt always gentle. ๐
She supported me in ways nga usahay wala nako ma-appreciate pag-ayo sauna. She was there, cheering me on, caring for me, and loving me in her own way.
If there is one thing I wish I could do again, it would be to sit beside you, talk about ordinary things, listen to your stories, and laugh with you over memories like these. I would treasure every second of it.
Two years have passed, but grief doesnโt really follow a calendar. People may think that as time goes by, the pain becomes lighter. Sometimes, it does. And today is one of those days when I feel your absence a little more deeply.
Ma, thank you for being my Mama. Thank you for your love, your support, your warmth, your sweetness, and even for those moments nga kinahanglan ko nimo sumbagon para lang makatuon. ๐คฃ I wouldnโt trade those memories for anything in this world.
I hope you know how much you are loved and how deeply you are missed. I carry your lessons, your stories, your laughter, and the memories of the woman you were. I may no longer see you, hug you, or hear you call my name, but a part of you will always live in me.
Two years without you, Ma, but a lifetime of loving and missing you.
Hangtod sa sunod natong pagkita, Ma. I love you always. Amping diha sa langit.
