The meeting was presided over by Engr. Pedro S. Agcaoili, Jr., PGDH-PPDC & OIC-ENRO, who led the discussions and guided the members in strengthening coordination among local government units toward a cleaner and greener province.

The meeting focused on important matters concerning the province’s Solid Waste Management Programs and Initiatives, including the 2026 Search for the Cleanest and Greenest City/Municipality, Barangay, and School, updates on the North Circular Agri-Hub, and other related environmental initiatives.

📸 𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The PGIN-Environment and Natural Resources Office assisted in the distribution of wages for the Barangay Ranger Officers (BROs) and Cash-for-Work beneficiaries, led by Hon. Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos, alongside Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Member Hon. Dr. Medeldorf Gaoat.

The BROs serve as the local guardians of Ilocos Norte’s natural resources, playing a critical role in the province’s conservation efforts. As frontline defenders, they conduct routine foot patrols, apprehend violators engaged in illegal logging and kaingin, and actively propagate forest and native seedlings in support of the province’s re-greening programs, ensuring the sustainability of Ilocos Norte’s green initiatives for generations to come.

The Cash-for-Work beneficiaries, who were affected by the typhoon, also received their compensation for helping rebuild and recover their communities.
