PIA Siquijor PIA Siquijor is the provincial info center of Philippine Information Agency in the island of Siquijor

PIA-Siquijor is the provincial Office of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) operating in the Province of Siquijor. The Philippine Information Agency is the official public information arm of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines. It is an attached unit of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO). The PIA works with the Office of the President, National Government Agencies, and other public sector entities in communicating their programs, projects, and services to the Filipino people. The agency has a regional office in all 16 regions and has an information center in 72 provinces across the Philippines.

LOOK | The Siquijor Association of Information Disseminators (SAID), through the Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-Siquijor, conducted a meeting and Pulong-Pulong today at the PSA Conference Hall, Siquijor Business and Convention Center, Siquijor, Siquijor.

The meeting featured discussions on the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) and Socio-Civic Funds (SCPF), as well as relevant information, updates, and programs from various partner government agencies aimed to strengthen coordination and information dissemination among SAID members and partner agencies for better public access to government programs and services.

Some 462,878 households in Metro Cebu still rely on analog television and will need to prepare for the transition to Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting (DTTB).

But donโ€™t worry, the shift isnโ€™t happening overnight. Central Visayas will not switch off analog broadcasts this year. The first analog switch-off is set for Nov. 22, 2026, in Mega Manila, with regional expansion planned in the succeeding years.

So, what does this mean for your household? ๐Ÿ‘€

You donโ€™t necessarily need to buy a new TV to become digital-ready. You can:

๐Ÿ“Œ Use a DTTB-compliant set-top box with your existing TV
๐Ÿ“Œ Get a digital TV with a built-in digital receiver
๐Ÿ“Œ Subscribe to a cable or satellite pay TV service

Digital TV also means clearer picture and audio and can deliver automatic emergency alerts during disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons.
