Pinaagi sini nga inisyatibo, nakakarawat an mga residente sin libre nga medical consultation ngan check-up, pati na an distribution san mga medisina ngan bitamina. Narekober ng mga tauhan ng 20th Infantry Battalion (20IB) ang isang M1 Carbine r***e at dalawang magasin matapos makasagupa ang mga nalalabing kasapi ng Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) sa Barangay Poponton, Las Navas, Northern Samar noong Linggo ng umaga, Oktubre 4, 2026.

Mabilis na nagresponde ang militar matapos magbigay ng impormasyon ang mga residente sa lugar na mayroong mga armadong miyembro ng CTG na nagbabanta at nangingikil sa mga sibilyan.

Tumagal nang humigit-kumulang limang minuto ang palitan ng putok bago tuluyang tumakas ang mga rebelde mula sa pinangyarihan ng insidente.

Walang naitalang nasugatan o nasawi sa panig ng pamahalaan batay sa paunang ulat ng militar.
Kinamuhian ni Brigadier General Carmelito Pangatungan, Commander ng 803rd Infantry Brigade, ang patuloy na pangingikil ng grupo sa mga mamamayan.

"Extortion and intimidation are deliberate acts against the very people the CTG claims to serve. But our communities are no longer willing to be victimized. The courage of residents to speak up made this operation possible, and we will remain relentless in protecting them from threats and violence," pahayag ni Brig. Gen. Pangatungan.

Pinuri rin ng 8th Infantry Division (8ID) ang pakikipagtulungan ng mga residente ng Barangay Poponton sa pagbibigay ng mabilis na impormasyon para maprotektahan ang komunidad at marekober ang armas ng kalaban.

"This encounter demonstrates that the partnership between our troops and the people is a decisive force against insurgency. The community’s timely information helped protect lives and contributed to the recovery of an enemy fi***rm. We encourage our people to remain vigilant and continue working with government forces toward lasting peace," ayon sa pahayag ng 8ID.

Nanawagan muli ang 8ID sa mga nalalabing miyembro ng CTG na sumuko na at magbalik-loob sa pamahalaan habang may pagkakataon pa.

Maaari nilang samantalahin ang mga tulong sa ilalim ng Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), Local Social Integration Program (LSIP), at amnesty program upang muling makapiling ang kanilang pamilya. | 𝗨𝗡𝗢

Kaugnay ng naiulat na presensya ng mga armadong miyembro ng Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) sa Brgy. Poponton, tinitiyak ng LGU Las Navas na patuloy tayong nakikipag-ugnayan sa mga kinauukulang awtoridad upang matugunan ang sitwasyon at mapanatili ang seguridad ng ating mga komunidad.

Nauunawaan namin ang pangamba ng ating mga kababayan. We encourage everyone to remain calm, exercise caution, and refrain from sharing unverified information. Manatiling mapagmatyag at umasa lamang sa mga opisyal na pahayag mula sa Local Government Unit at mga kinauukulang awtoridad.

Sama-sama nating pangalagaan ang kaligtasan at kapayapaan ng ating bayan.
