The PNP Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) of Las Piñas City celebrated Women’s Night on March 27, 2026, at Eurotel along Alabang-Zapote Road, Barangay Almanza Uno. The event was held in observance of National Women’s Month 2026, carrying the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” with the sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylan, Filipinas!”
The program opened with PSMS Romina C. Casangkapan, Chief Clerk of WCPD, who acknowledged attendees and representatives from various partner agencies. PLT CAROLINA G. DEL ROSARIO, Chief of WCPD, then delivered her welcome remarks.
A highlight of the evening was the Star of the Night competition, where participants showcased their beauty, poise, and elegance in ethnic-inspired attire during a red-carpet ramp walk.
Adding inspiration to the celebration, Atty. Michaela U. Matammu-Sion, Senior City Prosecutor of Las Piñas, shared a heartfelt message on women’s empowerment, reminding everyone that every woman has the strength to rise and thrive despite life’s uncertainties.
The Guest of Honor and Speaker, Atty. Tricia Claire A. Oco, Executive Director of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council, delivered an inspiring address: “Tonight, as we celebrate women, we also celebrate the partnership between men and women in building a society that is just, equitable, and inclusive.” She emphasized the importance of safeguarding youth and encouraged everyone to be role models who act with fairness, empathy, and integrity.
The event was also graced by City Mayor Hon. April Aguilar-Nery and City Councilor Alelee Aguilar-Andanar.

Las Piñas City, March 29, 2026
PNP Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) – Las Piñas City held this years’ Kick-Off Ceremony last March 7, 2026 at Las Piñas City Hall Grounds in celebration of the National Women’s Month 2026 with a theme: “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” and the sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylan’s, Filipinas!”.
Said activity was attended by all barangays and other participating agencies to showcase their Best in Float entries during a motorcade parade throughout the city. Entries were judged base on the following: Relevance to Theme (30%), Creativity and Visual Impact (30%), Advocacy Message & Symbolism (25%), and Overall Ex*****on & Safety Compliance (15%).
After careful evaluation, the winners of Best in Float are:

Las Piñas City, March 29, 2026
In celebration of National Women’s Month 2026, the PNP Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) – Las Piñas City successfully conducted the video contest “WE for Inclusive Barangays: Celebrating Women and Children’s Achievements”.
The contest invited all barangays to showcase their best programs and accomplishments for women and children, emphasizing gender equality, child protection, and community engagement. Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges (75%) and through social media engagement (25%) via Facebook posts tagged to the official WCPD Las Piñas page.
After careful evaluation, the winners are:

🌷 National Women’s Month Celebration 2026 🌷

DEL ROSARIO, C, WCPD, PSMS Romina Casangkapan, C, Clerk WCPD Romina Casangkapan and PSSg Geraldine P Dela Cruz, WCPD Investigator attended the 2-day Regionalized Women and Children Protection Summit at Kalayaan Hall, SM Aura, BGC Taguig City.
Together, let us continue to promote gender equality, women empowerment, and a safe environment where every woman’s voice is heard and respected.

Women and Children Protection Section (WCPS)
At about 1:00PM onwards of April 5, 2024, PEMS Lucia C Conmigo, PNCOIC, WCPD and Pat Maybel M Sabordo under the direct supervision of PCOL SANDRO JAY DC TAFALLA, Chief of Police attended the 1st Quarterly Meeting of Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence against Woman and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) held at Max's Restaurant Pamplona Dos, Las Piñas City. Said activity was initiated by DSWD-Las Pinas under the supervision of Ms. Lowefe T. Romulo, RSW, OIC-CSWDO, Las Pinas City and supported by Hon. Mayor Imelda T. Aguilar and Hon. Vice-Mayor April Aguilar which addressed the issues about Human Trafficking, Gender Sensitivity, SOGIE, Gender-Based Violence, RA 9262 (VAWC Law), and other issues and concerns of the different Barangays of Las Pinas City. Likewise PEMS Conmigo delivered the Accomplishment Report of Women and Children Protection Desk Las Pinas from the previous year.
