(Legazpi City, May 31, 2026) Ilulunsad ng Provincial Education Department (PED) ang Albay Kadunung Awards at Albay Provincial English Language Proficiency Program bukas, unang araw ng Hunyo sa Albay Capitol.

Ito ay gaganapin sa flag raising ceremony na pangungunahan ng PED sa pamumuno ni Dr. Jeremy A. Cruz bilang bahagi ng pagpapalakas ng mga inisyatibang pang-edukasyon sa lalawigan.

Layunin ng mga programa na kilalanin ang kahusayan sa academe at palakasin ang kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral sa wikang Ingles.

Kasunod ng programa, isasagawa ang media conference sa Red Room, Albay Capitol upang ilahad ang mga detalye, layunin, at inaasahang benepisyo ng mga inisyatiba.

Inaasahang makatutulong ang mga programa sa patuloy na pagpapabuti ng kalidad ng edukasyon at paghubog ng kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral sa Albay.

Recently, ABR attended the second public hearing for Proposed Provincial Ordinance No. 0031-2026, a proposed measure that focuses on institutionalizing resilient land use, development, and conservation regulations right within the 6-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) of Mayon Volcano.

The goal is simple but crucial: to strengthen public safety, ensure disaster preparedness, protect our environment, and promote sustainable development for the communities in vulnerable areas.

(Legazpi City, May 26, 2026) The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Albay has approved the validity of City Ordinance No. 9-042, Series of 2026 of Tabaco City, establishing its watershed and coastal management program.

The ordinance was referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources chaired by Board Member Brayan P. Arandia.

According to the committee report, the measure seeks to establish an integrated watershed and coastal management system focused on the protection, conservation, and sustainable use of watershed areas and coastal resources in Tabaco City.

The ordinance also aims to strengthen community protection against climate-related risks through proper environmental management.

The measure includes the creation of a management council that will oversee the implementation of the program and enforce its provisions.

Penalties for violations are also included in the ordinance.

The ordinance, authored by City Councilor Luis Renir Burce, was found consistent with existing laws, rules, and regulations.

Following the committee findings, the provincial board approved a resolution declaring the ordinance valid and operative.

(Legazpi City, May 26, 2026) Nagsagawa ng “Lakbay Kapitolyo: Child Leaders on Governance and Heritage” ang Sta. Misericordia Children’s Organization (SMCO) ng Barangay Sta. Misericordia, Sto. Domingo noong ika-19 ng Mayo sa Albay Capitol bilang educational tour.

Matapos ang naging koretesiya kay Governor Noel Rosal, isinagawa ang lakbay aral kung saan ipinakilala ang kasaysayan at kahalagahan ng kapitolyo bilang sentro ng pamahalaan sa Albay.

Bumisita rin ang grupo sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Albay kung saan sila pormal na kinilala sa pangunguna ni Vice Governor Farida S. Co at ang mga board members.

Layunin ng aktibidad na mapalawak ang kaalaman ng mga youth leaders hinggil sa good governance, public service, at aktibong pakikilahok sa komunidad.

(Legazpi City, May 26, 2026) The Provincial Tourism, Culture and Arts Office (PTCAO), through its Tourism Information and Assistance Division, joined the two-day National Heritage Month celebration in Tiwi held from May 21 to 22, 2026.

The PTCAO expressed gratitude to the LGU Tiwi Tourism Office for inviting the provincial office to participate in the activity.

The celebration gathered members of the Local Culture, Arts and Tourism Council, school heads, barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials, Parish Pastoral Councils, regional tour guides, and other stakeholders.

Discussions and activities during the event emphasized the importance of preserving local traditions, promoting heritage awareness, and encouraging community participation in cultural initiatives.

The activity also highlighted continued collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen cultural preservation efforts and promote Tiwi’s tourism potential and local identity.
