This year’s 𝐋𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 theme, “𝑳𝑨𝑪𝑬-𝑼𝑷: 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 – 𝑨 𝑯𝒖𝒃 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑,” and the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 theme, “𝑻𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑩𝒖𝒌𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒂 𝑷𝒖𝒏𝒐 𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒈-𝒂𝒔𝒂,” both emphasize the vital role of libraries in fostering cultural appreciation, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

Libraries are more than just spaces for books—they are gateways to imagination, discovery, and community connection. In support of these celebrations, the DWCL Grade School Library will host engaging activities that reflect its mission to nurture curiosity, promote reading, and build a vibrant learning culture among young learners.

Grade 6 pupils learned how to create bibliographies and properly cite their sources - strengthening their skills as responsible and independent learners.

Grade 5 pupils learned to organized and locate books using the Dewey Decimal System - becoming shelf-smart readers!

Grade 4 learners explored the dictionary, atlas, and almanac, learning how to find facts and information using these helpful references.
