π Field Visitation β May 20, 2026 π
The Bachelor of Science in Social Work students from Belen B. Francisco Foundation Inc. conducted their Field Visitation at the Albay Provincial Jail, gaining valuable exposure to the realities of correctional work and institutional service.
Under the guidance and supervision of Provincial Warden JCSUPT Felly Atienza-Cebuma (Ret.), together with PG3 Alree R. Francisco, Deputy Warden, PG3 Maria Teresa A. Marbella, Chief Administrative Officer, and PG1 Maria Loriene B. Jacob, Welfare and Development Officer, the students were given the opportunity to learn and discuss the nature of work, responsibilities, and challenges faced by jail personnel in carrying out their duties.
β¨ The visitation emphasized the importance of social work in correctional settings, highlighting rehabilitation, welfare, and development programs for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). It also fostered awareness of the collaborative efforts between jail management and academic institutions in preparing future professionals for meaningful service to society.

The Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Albay Provincial Jail continue to showcase their skills and creativity through the Furniture Making Livelihood Program. Guided by the leadership of Provincial Warden JCSUPT Felly Atienza-Cebuma (Ret.), this initiative empowers PDLs to learn practical craftsmanship that fosters productivity, discipline, and hope for brighter opportunities ahead.
β¨ Through this activity, PDLs are not only trained in woodworking and furniture design but are also given the chance to contribute meaningfully to the community. Their dedication reflects the spirit of rehabilitation and transformation, proving that with guidance and opportunity, lives can be rebuilt with dignity.

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) of Daraga, Albay, under the leadership of Election Officer Anddy A. Toledo, successfully conducted the Special Satellite Registration of Voters for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Albay Provincial Jail. This significant initiative ensures that even those within correctional facilities are given the opportunity to exercise their constitutional right to suffrage, affirming the inclusivity and fairness of our democratic process.

These activities brought smiles, laughter, and renewed strength to both personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), reminding everyone of the importance of wellness, discipline, and camaraderie.

βͺ 4th Sunday of Easter & Good Shepherd Sunday β April 26, 2026 βͺ
Under the steadfast leadership of Provincial Warden JCSUPT Felly Atienza-Cebuma (Ret.), the Albay Provincial Jail community was blessed to celebrate the Holy Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Jay Gargaceran, with the uplifting voices of the Dioceses Prison Ministry(DPM) and PDLs Choir filling the chapel with songs of faith and hope. This sacred gathering reminded us of the Lordβs enduring love as the Good Shepherd, guiding His flock with compassion and mercy. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Warden for his unwavering support in strengthening the spiritual journey of both personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).
π Following the Mass, a meaningful act of generosity was shared through the distribution of toiletries to all PDLs, graciously donated by the daughter of Mrs. Merly Paglinawan together with the CAT College Students (Criminology Interns). Their kindness and compassion brought joy and dignity to our community, reflecting the true spirit of service and solidarity.
β¨ This activity was made possible through the guidance of Chief Operation PG1 Erwin Ray Balilla and the supervision of PG1 Jorge Paraguison, whose dedication ensured the smooth and dignified conduct of the program.
