From Jay Shetty’s, 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘈 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘬. At first glance, you’d think that this quote is ignoring the idea to not compare, complain, nor criticize since it's being compared to cancer. But, if we take a little closer and try to understand the quote on deeper level, it doesn’t tell you that you should never compare, complain, or criticize because these are normal reactions. It’s what makes us human after all.

These things can still be used in moderation, to challenge oneself to be better. Comparing? That can inspire growth. Complaining? That is a call to let others know of what the real problem is. And criticizing? That can help improve ideas and behavior.

In real life, these habits are unavoidable. But what makes it dangerous like cancer is when we let it become our default way of thinking, when we let it shape how we think. It will slowly eat away our happiness and contentment. Like how cancer slowly deteriorates the human body.

Literal na beat the heat dahil kahit anong init at kahit hindi muna pinapagana ang lahat ng aircon today due to electrical concerns, patuloy lang ang pagbisita at paggamit sa’ting East Campus Library ng mga students!

But we’d still like to extend our apologies to everyone for the inconvenience that we are currently facing, despite the high heat index we’re having for these past couple of weeks. We assure you guys that everyone is trying their best to make sure that this issue is resolved as soon as possible.

Please be advised that there is a power fluctuation right now at the East Campus Library. Due to this, the AC Units and sockets at the area will be rendered unavailable for the meantime.

The Al Fresco Reading Area however, is always open for use if y'all need a fresh breathe of air. Just make sure to register at the logbook outside. Thank you so much!

Engr. Fernan D. Dematera, Associate Dean of the College of Engineering dropped by at the East Campus Library to share and introduce his very own board game, 𝘎𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳 (𝘎𝘈𝘔𝘌𝘌)!

Engr. Dematera also guided the library staff through the game’s rules and mechanics, making his visit more fun and interactive!

GAMEE is now available for everyone to enjoy at the Discussion Room and Al Fresco Area. And that’s not all—because more board games are on the way so stay tuned to our page for more announcements. Happy playing, East Students!
