There are times when the weight of all our problems comes crushing down on us. We feel helpless, we feel overwhelmed, we feel powerless and it seems that we have no control over everything and anything around us. We feel stuck. Trapped. Suffocated. Maybe even numb to the point that we just stare blankly at a space. But the anguish we experience is not what we deserve but it is inevitable.
As this month is about to end, let us recognize how we fought through the seen and silent battles, what the seemingly never-ending exhaustion at the end of each day had given us, and why we went through all of it. Continue to move forward. Let our failures be lessons. All the labor we have sown, will reap great rewards.

"๐พ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐"
A statement that undermines a womanโs capabilities and competence. One claim that always seems to sway a personโs mind to think that they are less as leaders, less as workers, and less rational.
Women are not inherently โmore emotional.โ They tend to show emotions more openly, and the โtoo emotionalโ myth is a bias that can unfairly undermine their credibility. This myth came about with the cultural norm and different upbringing of females and males.
Women were taught to be vulnerable and expressive of their emotions, whereas for men it was frowned upon if they do so. Research also shows that women are more inclined to share their feelings with their support systems, while men tend to bottle them up than show weakness. Recognizing the difference between feeling an emotion and expressing it helps dissolve the stereotype.
Women are more than this label makes them to be. They are great leaders, skilled workers, and intelligent individuals. Their emotions are not a weakness, but a strength. To be more empathetic, to be more compassionate, and to be more connected. Sometimes being strong is knowing how to be soft.

For future Thomasian Psychology students preparing for their own licensure examinations, her message is simple yet powerful: โDo it scared. It will get better.โ She also reminds them of the role they play in shaping the future. โAlways remember that the future of mental health is bright because of us. You are the future of mental health. We are the future of mental health.โ
From an โordinary studentโ uncertain of her path to one of the countryโs top psychometricians, Yvonne Mae C. Cabreraโs loud success is her quiet perseverance, a Thomasian formation, and a courage to move forward โ even when the way ahead feels uncertain.

When something goes awry, when something unforeseeable happensโฆ Does regret linger? Does doubt pervade? As you witnessed all of your plans, your hardwork, and your sacrifices go astray. No, it can still be fixed!
Unfortunately, trying to make it better, made it worse, and now you feel everything is against you. Indignation builds up inside of you; one more thing that is not supposed to happen will set you off!
Now, you ruminate every minute detailโinwardly repeating it over and over again. What went wrong? What do I need to do? If I only listened!
Is every effort you've done, meaningless? How can you ever recover? Am I worthleโ
Pause. Take a deep breath. Itโs okay. Everything is fine. Think. Feel. Be in the moment.
As you venture through your life's journey, remember to accept all versions of you. Flaws and failures are the ugly parts that empower you to be beautiful. Dealing these with contempt will only oppress you. So, embrace it as you continue to evolve into each better version of you that leads you towards the right path of your journey.
There is courage in accepting yourself and it is compassion to the others cheering you on along the way.

Nakamove on na ba kayo sa month of love? Well, kung hindi pa, may pahabol kami!! ๐
Have you ever heard the phrase that goes: ๐ผ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐!
If you have, well did you know that your brain is actually highly involved when you're loving someone? It takes an active participation in the physiological and psychological processes of love.
From neurotransmitters to brain regions, different studies have explored this topic adding to the existing knowledge of how complex love and loving truly is.
With this, the Psychology Society hopes to end this month that celebrates love and the arts, that you also experience love in any shape or form it takes.
