🕯️ Today, we commemorate the death anniversary of Camilo Osias (1889–1976), a distinguished Filipino educator, writer, senator, and former Senate President who dedicated his life to public service and education.

📚 Among his lasting contributions to Philippine education is 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴, a widely used textbook series during the American colonial period that helped generations of Filipino students learn the English language while appreciating Filipino culture, history, stories, and values. The series also featured illustrations by Fernando Amorsolo. 🇵🇭

By virtue of Proclamation No. 968, s. 2015, the month of April is officially declared as National Literature Month (Buwan ng Panitikan ng Pilipinas). This proclamation aims to celebrate our heritage, encourage the preservation of our diverse languages, and promote the growth of Philippine literature as a means of national pride and unity.

Let’s keep the pages turning! Support our local authors, visit your public libraries, and share the stories that make us who we are. 🇵🇭🖋️

Today, we pause to remember the greatest sacrifice ever known. It is called "Good" Friday not because the day was easy, but because the love shown on the cross changed everything. In the silence of this day, let us find gratitude for the grace that was given so freely. †🌿✝️

Good Friday reminds us that there is no crown without the cross and no light without the darkness. It is a day to sit with the reality of our own imperfections and realize that we are loved in spite of them.

A Short Prayer for Good Friday:
Lord Jesus, as we stand at the foot of the cross today, help us to truly understand the depth of Your love. Thank You for bearing our burdens and offering us a new beginning. May Your sacrifice be the foundation of our hope and the strength of our faith. Amen.
