𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗡: Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagpapalakas ng koordinasyon at pakikipagtulungan para sa kapakanan ng mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) at kanilang pamilya, nagsagawa ng courtesy call ang Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) at Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Naga ngayong araw, Hunyo 2, 2026.

Pinangunahan ang pagbisita nina 𝗗𝗠𝗪 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗼 𝗝. 𝗖𝗮𝗰𝗱𝗮𝗰 at 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣. 𝗢𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮, kasama ang mga opisyal at kawani ng DMW at OWWA.

Nakiisa rin sa aktibidad ang OWWA Bicol sa pangunguna ni 𝗢𝗜𝗖-𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝘇-𝗔𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼 bilang pagpapakita ng patuloy na suporta ng ahensya sa mga programang naglalayong mapabuti ang serbisyo para sa mga OFWs at kanilang mga pamilya.

Tinanggap naman ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Naga sa pangunguna ni 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 “𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗶” 𝗚. 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼 ang delegasyon upang talakayin ang mga posibleng larangan ng pakikipagtulungan at mga programang makatutulong sa mga migranteng manggagawang Pilipino at kanilang mga pamilya sa lokal na komunidad.

Patunay ang naturang pagpupulong sa kahalagahan ng matatag na ugnayan sa pagitan ng mga pambansang ahensya at lokal na pamahalaan upang higit pang mapalawak at mapalapit ang mga serbisyo para sa ating mga modernong bayani.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗔 𝗕𝗜𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

As part of the observance of May Measure Month (MMM26), employees of OWWA Bicol and its client OFWs and families participated in a blood pressure screening and health check-up activity conducted in coordination with the City Health Office (CHO) today June 1, 2026.

The activity forms part of the global campaign aimed at raising awareness on hypertension and promoting the prevention of cardiovascular diseases through regular blood pressure monitoring and early risk assessment.

During the activity, the OWWA Bicol personnel together with its walk-in clients underwent blood pressure measurement and cardiovascular disease risk assessment to help identify potential health concerns and encourage healthier lifestyle practices.

Through initiatives such as this, OWWA Bicol continues to support the health and wellness of its employees and more importantly the Migrant workers and their families, while promoting the importance of preventive healthcare in maintaining a healthy and productive workforce.

𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗡: Matagumpay na naisagawa ng OWWA Bicol ang limang (5) araw na Municipal-Wide Membership Promotion at Programs and Services Orientation sa Probinsiya ng Catanduanes mula Mayo 25 hanggang 28, 2026.

Sa kabila ng matinding init ng panahon, buong dedikasyong nilibot ng OWWA Bicol ang mga lokal na pamahalaan ng Pandan, Bagamanoc, Viga, Gigmoto, Bato, Baras, San Miguel, at Virac upang maihatid nang mas malapit sa mamamayan ang mga programa at serbisyo ng ahensya. Sa pamamagitan ng pakikipagtulungan at suporta ng mga Local Government Units (LGUs), lalo na ng mga Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers, matagumpay na natipon ang mahigit isang libong (1,000) Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) at kanilang mga pamilya na nabigyan ng komprehensibong oryentasyon hinggil sa iba't ibang benepisyo, programa, at serbisyo ng OWWA. Partikular na binigyang-diin sa mga isinagawang oryentasyon ang Scholarship Programs ng ahensya bilang paghahanda sa nalalapit na pagbubukas ng online application.

Kasabay nito, nagsagawa rin ang OWWA Bicol ng Membership Collection na nagbigay ng mas mabilis, maginhawa, at accessible na paraan para sa mga OFWs na makapagbayad ng kanilang membership contributions. Ang inisyatibong ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng ahensya na mailapit ang mga serbisyo nito sa bawat OFW at kanilang pamilya.

Sa kabuuan, naging matagumpay ang aktibidad dahil sa aktibong pakikilahok ng mga OFWs at kanilang pamilya, suporta ng mga LGUs, at sama-samang adhikain na mas mapalawak pa ang kaalaman ng mga migranteng manggagawa at kanilang pamilya ukol sa mga programang nakalaan para sa kanila.

Kasalukuyang isinasagawa ngayong araw, Mayo 28, 2026, ang “𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮 – 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 (𝗕𝗕𝗠-𝗡𝗥𝗡) 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲” sa Albay Astrodome, Legazpi City, Albay. Ang programang ito ay inisyatibo ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Regional Office V katuwang ang iba’t ibang partner agencies at stakeholders.

Katuwang din sa nasabing aktibidad ang Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Bicol sa pangunguna ni 𝗢𝗜𝗖-𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝘇-𝗔𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼 bilang suporta sa patuloy na paghahatid ng mga programa at serbisyong makatutulong sa mga OFWs, repatriates, returning workers, at kanilang pamilya.

Layunin ng aktibidad na mailapit sa mga OFWs at kanilang dependents ang iba’t ibang government services, livelihood opportunities, job fair, trade fair, financial literacy sessions, government-to-government hiring orientation, at iba pang reintegration programs para sa kanilang mas maayos na pagbabalik at panibagong simula sa bansang Pilipinas.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng DMW, OWWA, at mga katuwang na ahensya ang mas pinaigting na serbisyo, proteksyon, at suporta para sa kapakanan at reintegration ng ating mga modernong bayani.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: The OWWA Bicol spearheaded by OIC – Regional Director Jenivie Diaz – Aguallo, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Libmanan, Camarines Sur, through the PESO Libmanan headed by Mr. Epifanio O. Borras, PESO Manager, successfully conducted the Basic Leadership Training for Barangay PESO Officers and OFW Association Officers on May 26, 2026 at the Mayor’s Office Conference Room, LGU Libmanan, Camarines Sur.

The activity aimed to strengthen the leadership capabilities, communication skills, and service-oriented values of Barangay PESO Officers and OFW Association Officers to better assist Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families in their respective communities.

Mayor Edelson M. Marfil warmly welcomed Director Aguallo and the rest of the OWWA Bicol Team during their courtesy visit, where they personally conveyed the agency’s sincere appreciation for the LGU’s unwavering and admirable support to the various initiatives and activities of OWWA Bicol. Meanwhile, Mayor Marfil reaffirmed once again the local government’s commitment to further strengthen its support for OWWA Bicol and its future undertakings in service to OFWs and their families.

During the morning session, participants actively attended the Leadership training facilitated by Ms. Leslie Ann D. Tormes, Livelihood Development Specialist, where essential leadership principles, responsibilities, and effective community engagement were discussed. This was followed by Financial Literacy Training, focusing on proper financial management and responsible use of financial resources, especially for OFWs and their families.

In the afternoon session, Ms. Valerie Joy B. Cañeza, Family Welfare Officer, comprehensively discussed the OWWA Programs and Services, providing participants with information regarding the various programs and services being offered by the agency.

Moreover, Director Aguallo, in support for the excellent leadership and service, personally facilitated the Oathtaking ceremony of the four newly OFW Association Officers of Bagacay Libmanan OFW Family Association.

Subsequently, Mr. Bernard John C. Bonnet facilitated the discussion on Assisting OFWs and Handling Welfare Cases where he focused on the proper handling of welfare concerns, referral systems, and appropriate assistance mechanisms for distressed OFWs and their families.

Matagumpay na isinagawa ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Bicol ang “UGNAYAN 2026: OFC Virtual Coordination Meeting and Kamustahan” ngayong araw, Mayo 26, 2026 sa pamamagitan ng Zoom Meeting na nilahukan ng pitumpu’t pitong (77) OFC Officers mula sa iba’t ibang bayan sa 3rd District ng Albay.

Naging posible at matagumpay ang aktibidad sa inisyatibo ni 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗕. 𝗟𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮 at sa tulong at suporta ng mga 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 (𝗟𝗚𝗨𝘀), partikular na ng mga 𝗣𝗘𝗦𝗢 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 na nagsilbing katuwang sa koordinasyon at mobilisasyon ng mga kalahok sa kani-kanilang munisipalidad.

Nagsilbing mahalagang plataporma ang nasabing virtual meeting upang muling mapagtibay ang ugnayan ng mga OFC Officers sa pamamagitan ng isang makabuluhang “𝗞𝗮𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻,” pagbabahagi ng mga karanasan, best practices, at mga community initiatives na kanilang naisagawa sa kani-kanilang lugar.

Tinalakay rin sa pagpupulong ang mahahalagang updates hinggil sa membership profiles at kasalukuyang status ng mga OFCs bilang bahagi ng monitoring ng ahensya.

Bahagi rin ng aktibidad ang pagpaplano ng mga susunod na programa at pagbuo ng kani-kanilang “𝗠𝗬 𝗢𝗙𝗖 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦” bilang patunay ng patuloy nilang suporta at dedikasyon sa mga layunin ng organisasyon at sa kapakanan ng kapwa OFWs at kanilang pamilya.


#𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗩

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Demonstrating its continued commitment to the welfare and protection of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Region V successfully provided airport and medical transport assistance to a medically ill OFW from Malaysia earlier today, May 24, 2026.

The OFW safely arrived in the Philippines together with her two next-of-kin. She is currently undergoing further medical evaluation, treatment and procedures.

On the other hand, OWWA Region V immediately coordinated the necessary assistance to ensure the safe and smooth transport of the OFW from the airport to Metro Health Hospital in Sorsogon through the assistance of the LGU Juban, Sorsogon, that provided an ambulance for their onward travel.

This coordinated effort highlights OWWA Bicol’s dedication in providing immediate care, compassionate assistance, and continuous support to medically repatriated OFWs in times of need.

𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗡: Nagbigay ng agarang asistensya ang 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗔) 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 sa pagdating ng labi ng isang 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 (𝗢𝗙𝗪) mula Malaysia na dumating kaninang umaga, Mayo 24, 2026, sa 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, Daraga, Albay.

Samantala, siniguro rin ng mga personnel ng 𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗔 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 na sina 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 – 𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗢 𝗜𝗜 at 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘀 – 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 ang maayos na pag-turn over at transportasyon ng mga labi pauwi sa kanilang tahanan sa 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴, 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘆.

Mula sa buong tanggapan ng 𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗔, lubos po ang aming pakikiramay sa nagdadalamhating pamilya.
