Voices usually heard inside homes took center stage during the Kasambahay i-DOLE Singing Competition Season 2, where 10 finalists from across the Bicol Region showcased their talent in a celebration of domestic workers during the Labor Month Culminating Activity at LCC Event Center, Legazpi City.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the panel of judges for their time, expertise, and careful evaluation throughout the competition, as they took on the difficult task of assessing strong and heartfelt performances to help ensure a fair and meaningful selection of winners.

Congratulations to all our kasambahay finalists for making the stage come alive with talent and heart. Because the softest melodies come from those who are usually heard the leastโ€”until the spotlight finally finds them.

Season 3? Weโ€™ll be waiting. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol formalized its first private-sector partnership on Gender and Development (GAD) through the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the LCC Group of Companies, to promote gender-responsive workplace practices and strengthen inclusivity in the labor sector, during the Labor Month Culminating Activity at the LCC Event Center, Legazpi City.

The agreement was signed by DOLE Bicol Regional Director Imelda F. Gatinao and LCC Group representative and OIC-Chairman for Human Resource Devy M. Laad. The MOA formalizes a collaborative effort to mainstream gender and development principles in workplace systems and employee programs across the companyโ€™s operations.

Under the partnership, DOLE Bicol commits to provide technical assistance and capability-building interventions designed to foster safer, more inclusive, and gender-responsive workplaces. These include the conduct of Gender Sensitivity Trainings (GST), Gender and Development orientation seminars, workplace gender-responsiveness training, and Training of Trainers (TOT) on GAD, which aim to equip company personnel with the knowledge and tools to integrate gender perspectives into workplace culture and organizational processes.

For its part, the LCC Group of Companies commits to actively engage with DOLE Bicol in implementing GAD-related programs and activities, facilitate employee participation in training and seminars, designate focal persons to coordinate initiatives, and incorporate gender-responsive principles into workplace policies, programs, and management systems.

This agreement is a significant step in expanding workplace inclusivity efforts beyond government institutions and into the private sector, where gender-responsive mechanisms are increasingly recognized as essential to employee welfare, productivity, and organizational development.

A meaningful way to end the month: not just honoring labor, but investing in workplaces that work better for everyone. ๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿ’œ
