CAMP SIMEON A OLA, AlbayโThe 9th Civil-Military Operations (Kaagapay) Battalion actively participated in the โAlaga Ka Indayโ Outreach Caravan Program held at the Covered Court of Barangay Basud, Polangui, Albay on March 21, 2026.
The activity was led by Cpt. Vic Leo Miranda, Operations Officer of 9CMO Battalion, together with personnel from the 1st and 2nd Civil-Military Operations Companies. The outreach initiative carried the theme, โHealthy Women, Empowered Communities,โ in line with the celebration of Womenโs Month.
In collaboration with the Office of the Vice President (OVP), represented by Atty. Kenneth M. Osabal, along with key partner agencies including the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) Polangui, PhilHealth Office, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Daraga, and Naval Forces Southern Luzon (NAVFORSOL), the activity successfully delivered essential services to the community.
Among the highlights of the outreach program was the provision of free haircut services, benefiting approximately 200 residents of Barangay Basud. The initiative aimed to promote health, wellness, and empowerment among women and the broader community.
The 9CMO โKaagapayโ Battalion remains committed to supporting community development initiatives and strengthening partnerships with government agencies to bring essential services closer to the people.

Negotiator Company Conducts Information Awareness Drive in Palanas, Masbate
MILAGROS, Masbate โ The 3rd Civil-Military Operations "Negotiator" Company of 9th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, conducted an information awareness drive for residents of Sitio Catoogan, Brgy. Salvacion, Palanas, Masbate on March 24, 2026.
The activity was led by 2nd Lt. Maria Carmela Pedregosa together with Alpha Company, 2nd Infantry Battalion, and participated by approximately 60 local residents. It aimed to educate the community and enhance collective vigilance against deceptive recruitment strategies used by the CPP/NPA/NDF, highlighting the importance of solidarity and collaboration in preserving peace and preventing the presence of insurgent groups in the area.
Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) was also presented. The briefing covered the support offered to former rebels, including financial assistance, livelihood programs, and reintegration services to help them return to their normal lives.
The activity strengthened the partnership between the military and the community. It also supports ongoing efforts to maintain peace and order while promoting development in the area. The Philippine Army remains committed to informing communities and ensuring their active role in safeguarding their locality.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐. ๐๐๐, ๐๐๐ ๐๐ณ๐ฉ๐ข ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒโ The 9th Civil-Military Operations (Kaagapay) Battalion, Philippine Army formally conducted a Receiving Ceremony for the Bachelor of Arts in Peace Studies (BAPS) students from Bicol University who will undergo their On-the-Job Training (OJT) with the unit on 16 March 2026 at the Headquarters of the 9th CMO Battalion, Camp Simeon A. Ola, Legazpi City.
The activity was spearheaded by Lt. Col. Emerson Ian Borja, Commanding Officer of said unit, who warmly welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of academic partnership in strengthening the understanding of civil-military operations and nation-building.
During the ceremony, the students were oriented on the mission, roles, and significant contributions of the battalion in promoting peace, security, and development in the Bicol Region through various CMO and initiatives.
The 9th CMO โKaagapayโ Battalion remains committed to fostering collaboration with academic institutions and empowering the youth to become active partners in nation-building and community development.

CAMP BGEN SIMEON A OLA, Albay โ The 9th Civil-Military Operations (Kaagapay) Battalion actively participated in the โTakbo Para sa Kababaihan Color Fun Run Year 3,โ held on March 21, 2026, at Sawangan Park, Legazpi City, in celebration of Womenโs Month 2026. The event carried the theme, โLead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!โ
The activity was led by JCSUPT Elena B. Rocamora, PhD, Regional Director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), whose leadership underscored the importance of empowering women across all sectors.
The event featured a vibrant Color Fun Run, a Zumba session, and a special showcase of women in uniform from various government agencies, including the Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
The 9CMO Battalion joined the initiative alongside other participating units, demonstrating its unwavering support for gender equality and recognizing the vital role of women in the uniformed service.
Through this meaningful activity, the 9CMO Battalion reaffirmed its commitment to supporting programs that uplift women, strengthen partnerships, and promote inclusivity within the community.

Negotiators Company participates in Patriot Brigadeโs tree-growing activity in Sorsogon
CAMP LICERIO A. LAPUS, Sorsogon City โ The 3rd Civil-Military Operations (Negotiator) Company of the 9th Civil-Military Operations Battalion participated in a tree-growing activity at Brgy. San Rafael, Castilla, Sorsogon on March 7, 2026,
In support of environmental protection efforts and in line with the celebration of the 129th Philippine Army Founding Anniversary with the theme โAng Inyong Matatag na Hukbong Katihanโ, the activity was spearheaded by the 903rd Infantry Brigade led by Maj. Raff Angelo Baldonado, Civil-Military Operations Officer.
With participation from personnel of the 22nd Infantry Battalion and members of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Active Auxiliary (CAA), the initiative forms part of the Philippine Armyโs environmental campaign aligned with the โRaising of One Million Fruit-Bearing Treesโ project aimed at promoting environmental security and sustainable community development.
The activity was conducted in collaboration with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Castilla, which supported the initiative through the provision of planting materials. A total of one hundred (100) assorted fruit-bearing trees, including santol, sampalok, casoy, and pili, were successfully planted during the activity.
The tree-growing program highlights the Philippine Armyโs commitment not only to national security but also to environmental stewardship, while strengthening the partnership between the 903rd Infantry Brigade, local government units, and community stakeholders in promoting ecological sustainability and community resilience.

3rd CMO Company, Partner Agencies Hold Blood Donation Activity in Masbate
CAMP LICERIO A LAPUS, Sorsogon โ The 3rd Civil-Military Operations (Negotiator) Company of the 9th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, participated in a simultaneous blood donation activity in celebration of the 129th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Army at the Masbate Social Center, Masbate City on March 07, 2026.
The activity was conducted as part of the nationwide blood donation campaign of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army, with the theme โDugong Buhay Aming Alay Bilang Mga Makabagong Bayani Tungo sa Matatag na Sandigan ng Bagong Pilipinas.โ
The humanitarian initiative was conducted in partnership with the 505th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, 5th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, headed by Lt. Col. Sanjie Sangatanan, Director of the 506th Community Defense Center, along the Negotiator Company led by 1st Lt. Xexer Delos Santos, Commanding Officer, with other participating units from the 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army.
The blood donation drive also received strong support from various government agencies, civic organizations, and volunteers, including the City Health Office (CHO) of the Local Government Unit of Masbate, the Philippine Red CrossโMasbate Chapter, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Masbate, members of Iglesia Ni Cristo, students and youth volunteers from the Southern Bicol College (SBC) Nursing Department, ROTC cadets from Liceo de Masbate, and Masbate Colleges ROTC, together with other civilian volunteers.
The activity aimed to help ensure an adequate blood supply for hospitals in Masbate Province while promoting volunteerism, humanitarian service, and stronger civil-military cooperation.
Army officials emphasized that beyond defending the nation, soldiers and reservists also serve communities through humanitarian initiatives such as blood donation, demonstrating their commitment as modern-day heroes.

3rd Civil-Military Operations Company Strengthens Partnership with DILG Sorsogon
CAMP LICERIO A LAPUS, Sorsogon โ The 3rd Civil-Military Operations (Negotiators) Company of the 9th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, paid a courtesy call on the Provincial Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sorsogon, at the Provincial Office located at the City Hall Compound, Brgy. Cabid-an, Sorsogon City on March 05, 2026.
Led by 1st Lt. Xexer Delos Santos, Commanding Officer, paid a courtesy call to Mr. Arnel Renato L. Madrideo, Provincial Director of DILG Sorsogon. The courtesy call aimed to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and coordination in support of peace and development initiatives in the province.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the formal introduction of the unit, potential collaborative engagements, and enhanced coordination in support of the governmentโs peace and development programs. The discussion also highlighted the upcoming Ceremonial Issuance of Safe Conduct Passes to twenty-five (25) Former Rebels (FRs), which forms part of the continuing efforts to encourage reintegration and sustain peace initiatives in the province.
The activity further reinforces the partnership between the military and civilian government agencies in advancing inter-agency collaboration toward lasting peace and stability in Sorsogon.
