โThe Linggo ng Kabataan 2026: Student Leadership for Peace and Security Summit was successfully conducted on August 29, 2026, at the Lianga Municipal Gymnasium, bringing together young leaders and advocates in a meaningful space for dialogue, learning, and collective reflection.
โ
โGuided by the theme โ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ the summit emphasized that while young people may come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, we are united by a shared aspiration to create communities grounded in peace, security, inclusivity, and meaningful youth participation.
โ
โThe summit served as a reminder that leadership is not defined solely by titles or positions, but by the courage to listen, the willingness to understand, and the commitment to serve. Through the stories, insights, and experiences shared during the gathering, young participants were encouraged to recognize their role in shaping safer, more peaceful, and more resilient communities.
โ
โOur sincere appreciation goes to the speakers, participants, District FSSLG, facilitators, LYDC, LYDO, DepEd, other partner institutions, and everyone who contributed to the success of this endeavor. Your collective presence demonstrated the strength of a generation willing to engage, learn, and lead with purpose.
โ
โAs the summit concludes, may the conversations continue beyond the walls of the gymnasium, and may the lessons gained translate into meaningful action in our schools, communities, and society.
โ
โDifferent contexts. Common aspirations. One generation committed to building a culture of peace.
