LIWAD Conducts 3rd Quarter Earthquake Drill

In compliance with NDRRMC Memorandum No. 15, s. 2026, the Libmanan Water District (LIWAD) successfully conducted the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Earthquake Drill on 16 September 2026.

The office order, issued by General Manager Rodolfo A. Jimenez, Jr., temporarily suspended regular office operations and transaction services at 2:00 PM to prioritize safety preparedness. Following pre-drill briefings by division managers, employees executed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocol for one minute upon hearing the official alarm.

Occupants then evacuated in an orderly, single-file line toward the designated Emergency Evacuation Area. During the assembly phase, the body conducted a mandatory headcount. Concurrently, the Engineering & Construction Division led by its Acting Division Manager Engr. Ailene Buenaobra and Safety Officer Mr. Ian Paulo Calisura alongside resident engineers, Engr. Marc Gemcel Olarve, and Engr. Wena Nonatoโ€”carried out an immediate structural and hazard inspection of the premises.

Following the inspection presentation and a post-drill debriefing, an "All Clear" declaration allowed personnel to return safely to their workstations and resume regular operations. END.

LIWAD, LGU Libmanan share aim to Reforest Palong Watershed

PALONG, 4407 LIBMANANโ€”In a major push to safeguard local water security and restore ecosystems, 302 community beneficiaries gathered at the Barangay Palong Covered Court on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, for the safety and orientation launch of the TUPAD Watershed Project.

The green employment undertaking that was jointly driven by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Libmanan through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), focuses on the rehabilitation of the Palong Watershed and the planting of hardwood and fruit-bearing trees.

While the program creates immediate cash-for-work opportunities for community members, its strategic highlight centers on reinforcing the supply resilience of the Libmanan Water District (LIWAD). END.
