Local Civil Registry Liloan So. Leyte

On September 20, 2024, LGU Liloan was filled with love through the "Kasalan ng Bayan 2024" ceremony held in Municipal Covered Court, Liloan, Southern Leyte, which tied 20 couples from different Barangays in the Municipality of Liloan to the union of marriage.

The ceremony was solemnized by the Honorable Jonna C. Adan, the Municipal Mayor of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Liloan, with significant involvement and support from the the Municipal Vice Mayor, the Honorable Shirlita Y. Chong, and was organized by the Municipal Civil Registrar, Raquel M. Cero.

A dream come true to all couples coming from all walk of life, as they proudly walked together filled with mixed emotions, exchanged their vows, sealing their commitment to a lifetime of love and partnership.

The activity was attended by our Municipal Mayor Hon. Jonna C. Adan, along with the Birth Registration Agent of PSA, Mr. Ariel Geraldo, Municipal Civil Registrar, Ms. Raquel M. Cero and 15 beneficiaries.

PBRAP is a project launched by PSA in coordination with the Local Government Unit which aims to aid the unregistered Filipino citizens in securing their birth registration.

"MOBILE MARKET"

The Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Liloan, Southern Leyte initiated by our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Shirlita Y. Chong through the Municipal Agriculture & Services Office together with the Liloan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (LIFACO) will launch a program called "MOBILE MARKET", a market on wheels to allow consumers to buy basic goods such as grains, vegetable, fruits, canned goods, dry goods and many more starting tomorrow and every Tuesday of the week..

Advisory from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to all Provincial Governor, City Mayors, Municipal Mayors, BARMM Chief Minister, DILG Regional Directors, and other concerned.

Subject: Provision of Markets for Municipal Fisherfolk and small farmers during the State of Public Health Emergency, and Enhanced Community Quarantine.

This project aims to lessen the crowd visiting our establishment like wet market, grocery store, public and private establishment, also lessen their transportation cost amid the Heightened Community Quarantine due to threats of COVID-19.

Mobile Market will start tomorrow only on Tuesday, travel route from Brgy. San Roque to Brgy. Bahay, Liloan, Southern Leyte.

Thanks to our very supportive Mayor, Hon. Shirlita Y. Chong in making this program into realization.
