IN PHOTOS|| FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION WITH LIVE FIRE SIMULATION
On March 18, 2026 the Local Youth Development Office of LGU-Liloan, Southern Leyte in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection - Liloan Municipal Fire Station conducted Fire Safety Education with Live Fire Simulation to the Youth.
Fire incidents often peak during the summer month of March. While adults are usually the focus of fire safety, the youth represent a vital demographic that can act as "first responders" or safety advocates within their households. By providing high school students and the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) with the theoretical knowledge of fire chemistry and the practical skills to handle a fire extinguisher, we decrease community vulnerability and build a culture of preparedness.
This initiative ensures that the youth are not merely bystanders during an emergency but are equipped with the life-saving skills necessary to protect themselves and their families. Investing in their education today prevents the tragedies of tomorrow.
