MES Conducts Student-Led School Watching, Hazard Mapping

September 9, 2026 – Malimpuec Elementary School

To strengthen disaster preparedness and safety awareness, Malimpuec Elementary School conducted the Student-Led School Watching and Hazard Mapping Activity for School Year 2026–2027 today.

The activity opened with an orientation led by School Head Madam Liberty I. Bolasoc, who emphasized that safety is everyone’s responsibility and that involving learners helps them become more alert and responsible members of the school community.

Guided by DRRM Focal Person Madam Kristine Grace R. Raymundo, the School Elementary Learners Government (SELG), the School Watching Team surveyed the entire campus, identified possible risks, and mapped out hazards, safe zones, and evacuation routes. After the inspection, Madam Raymundo presented the activity results and shared practical recommendations to further improve school safety measures.

The event was closely monitored by Public Schools District Supervisor Madam Ellen L. Fernandez, who stayed throughout the activity to provide guidance and support. She commended the school and the learners for their active participation, noting that such initiatives build a strong culture of safety and readiness.

This activity empowers learners to know their surroundings, understand risks, and contribute to making our school a safer place to learn and work.
