The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), led by Gov. Aris Aumentado, through the Bohol Employment and Placement Office–Public Employment Service Office (BEPO-PESO), participated in the Local and Overseas Job Fair held on May 22, 2026, at the Loay People’s Center Gymnasium in Loay, Bohol.
Maria Vilma Yorong, PGDH of BEPO-PESO and Provincial PESO Manager/CTEC, joined the activity, which gathered local and overseas employers, government agencies, job seekers, and employment facilitators in a collaborative effort to expand employment opportunities for Boholanos. The event aimed to connect applicants with prospective employers and promote decent and sustainable employment both locally and abroad.
The initiative was made possible through the support of the Municipality of Loay, led by Mayor Hilario Ayuban, through its Public Employment Service Office, headed by Katrina Binangbang, together with the Sangguniang Bayan Members of Loay, particularly the Committee on Labor and Employment.
Participating agencies and employers provided recruitment and hiring services, skills matching, and career guidance to applicants from Loay and nearby municipalities.
Yorong reaffirmed BEPO-PESO’s commitment to strengthening employment facilitation programs, enhancing workforce competitiveness, and supporting inclusive economic development in the province.
The program supports the Provincial Government’s efforts to strengthen employment facilitation and workforce development, anchored in the Strategic Governance Roadmap and aligned with Bohol’s vision as a UNESCO Global Geopark, promoting inclusive growth, sustainable livelihoods, and community empowerment.
