This continuous training enhances the firefighters' knowledge, skills, and proficiency, ensuring they remain prepared to respond effectively and efficiently to emergencies while delivering quality public service.

This activity reinforces the importance of continuous training, readiness, and proficiency in responding to emergencies. Through enhanced knowledge and practical skills, Loon Fire Station remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting lives, safeguarding properties, and delivering prompt and effective emergency response services to the community.

All business establishments should maintain accessible and functional fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and first aid kits. These should be placed in visible and easy-to-reach areas. Regular inspections and maintenance must also be conducted to ensure all equipment remains in good working condition at all times.

Coordination with local emergency responders such as the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), police (PNP), and nearby health facilities is also highly recommended. Keeping emergency contact numbers posted in visible areas or in a phonebook ensures quick communication during critical situations. Building a good relationship with these agencies can provide additional support when needed.

Implemented under the Bureau of Fire Protection’s Obligasyon sa Bayan, Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) Program, this initiative aims to strengthen emergency preparedness and foster safer and more resilient communities.

Through regular roving activities and the dissemination of fire safety reminders, the team strengthens public awareness of potential fire hazards and promotes essential preventive measures, such as avoiding electrical overloading, never leaving cooking appliances or candles unattended, and refraining from burning dry leaves and garbage.

Passengers, drivers, and terminal staff are encouraged to remain vigilant, practice fire safety at all times, and work together to protect lives and property.

The benefit of physical conditioning for firefighters is to enhance firefighters' overall fitness and strength levels, enabling them to perform their duties more efficiently and safely in high-stress and physically demanding situations.

Thirteen years have passed, but the memories of that fateful day remain forever etched in our hearts. πŸ’”

On October 15, 2013, Bohol was shaken by a devastating 7.2-magnitude earthquake that changed countless lives and left deep scars across our beloved province. We remember the lives we lost, the families forever changed, the homes and heritage reduced to rubble, and the fear and uncertainty that gripped our communities.
But beyond the devastation, we witnessed something far more powerfulβ€”the unbreakable spirit of the Boholano people. In the midst of tragedy, compassion prevailed. In times of uncertainty, courage emerged. And amid the ruins, hope rose as communities stood together, helping one another rebuild not only what was lost, but also the strength to move forward.

Today, we solemnly honor the lives lost, pay tribute to the courage and sacrifices of our rescuers and responders, and remember every Boholano whose strength and solidarity helped our province rise again.

As we look back, may we never forget the lessons written in the rubble and the lives forever changed by that tragic day. Let this commemoration renew our commitment to disaster preparedness, public awareness, and community resilience. Because while we cannot prevent every disaster, we can prepare, we can protect, and we can save lives.

Thirteen years later, our wounds may have healed, but our memories remain. Our tears may have dried, but our stories endure. And our land may have trembled, but the heart of Bohol continues to beat with courage, faith, and hope.
