The Municipal Nutrition Action Office conducted its regular monthly meeting on June 3, 2026 at 3F Multi-Purpose Room, Municipal Hall to review ongoing programs, evaluate current nutrition initiatives, and plan upcoming activities aimed at improving the overall nutritional status of our municipality.

Municipal Ordinance No. 2023-2380 or the "Comprehensive Smoke and Vape-Free Ordinance of the Municipality of Los Baños"

❌ Smoking and va**ng are prohibited in all enclosed public areas, government offices, workplaces, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and public transportation.

❌ The sale, advertising, and promotion of to***co and v**e products are not allowed within 100 meters of schools, public playgrounds, and healthcare establishments.

The Los Baños Municipal Health Office, together with the Municipal Government of Los Baños, stands to its commitment to protecting every resident from the dangers of smoking and va**ng by creating smoke-free and v**e-free spaces to support healthier communities.

Through the ARAL Program and SARP, our learners continue to strengthen their reading comprehension, critical thinking, and mathematical skills through meaningful and engaging intervention activities. From guided reading sessions to solving radical expressions, every lesson becomes a stepping stone toward academic growth and confidence.

A heartfelt thank you to the teachers, parents, stakeholders, and the Municipality of Los Baños for supporting our learners throughout this journey. Together, we create opportunities where every learner can grow, recover, and succeed.

𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥-𝗕𝗔𝗕𝗬 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧🤱

The Municipal Government of Los Baños through the Municipal Nutrition Action Office headed by Ms. Madeleine Alforja in coordination with the Provincial Health Office and Provincial DOH conducted a Mother-baby friendly workplace assesment to Barangay Health Stations, Barangay Halls and Municipal Hall of Los Baños last May 28, 2026. The asssesment team composed of Ms. Jessica Hernandez, RND (Provincial DOH), Ms. Natividad R. Vito, RND (Nutritionist Dietitian IV), Ms. Golda Mae Austria, RND and Ms. Marites Ortiz, RND (Provincial Health Office) checked the compliance of the lactation stations and provided feedbacks to the barangay and health personnel.

As part of the continuing commitment to promote safe motherhood, proper infant care, and healthier communities, the Mother-Baby Friendly Assessment was successfully conducted across all barangays of Los Baños. This important initiative aims to evaluate and strengthen barangay-level programs and practices that support maternal health and breastfeeding promotion

The assessment served as an opportunity to recognize the efforts of Barangay Officials, Barangay Nutrition Scholars and health workers who continuously work hand in hand to ensure that mothers and babies receive quality care, guidance, and support from pregnancy until early childhood. Through the dedication of our local health teams, each barangay was assessed based on its implementation of mother-baby friendly practices, including breastfeeding support, maternal counseling, child nutrition programs, and the establishment of safe and nurturing environments for mothers and infants.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this assessment. Your unwavering dedication and service play a vital role in achieving a healthier, safer, and more mother-baby friendly workplace in Los Baños.
