Day 3 of Opening Block 📚🎒✨

On June 10, 2026, Los Baños National High School – Poblacion held a special seminar for students from Grades 7 to 10. The event focused on two very important topics: anti-smoking and preventing teenage pregnancy.

This helpful activity was organized by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) led by Mr. John Kharlo B. Arquiza, together with the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) adviser, Mrs. Marissa A. Rebenque. The entire event was guided and supported by the school principal, Mrs. Emma L. Izon.

The first speaker was Ms. Marlyn B. Rañola, a licensed teacher and health officer from the Los Baños Municipal Health Office. She talked to the students about the bad effects and dangers of smoking. Ms. Rañola emphasized why it is crucial to stay away from to***co and choose a healthy lifestyle. Her goal was to make sure students understand how smoking can ruin their health and their daily lives.

The second speaker, Ms. Mary Jane M. Gonzales, a public health midwife and coordinator from the same health office, focused on the challenges of teenage pregnancy. She shared clear facts on how to prevent early pregnancy and where students can find support. Ms. Gonzales encouraged the youth to make smart, responsible choices today so they can protect their dreams for the future.

Through these simple yet powerful talks, the students did not just learn new facts. They also left the seminar feeling strong, ready, and inspired to make the best choices for their health and their lives ahead. ❤️

Day 2 of Opening Block 📚🎒✨

Symposium on Anti-Bullying and Mental Health was held at Los Baños National High School – Poblacion on June 9, 2026 was a collaborative effort initiated by the Supreme Student Learner Government (SSLG) and the Guidance and Counseling Office. It was made possible through the leadership of SSLG Adviser, Mr. John Kharlo B. Arquiza, together with Guidance Designate, Ms. Mary Clare N. Vega, and under the supervision of Principal IV, Mrs. Emma L. Izon.

Ms. Lorie Jean G. Montao, RSW, MSSW, a social worker from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Los Baños, was the keynote speaker, ensuring proper awareness among all learners.

Ms. Montao reiterated the importance of anti-bullying measures and promote mental health to about a thoudand learners of LBNHS-Poblacion.

Overall, the event sought to help cultivate a safe, orderly, and nurturing school environment where every learner feels accepted, valued, and given the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

We started school year 2026-2027 at Los Baños National High School–Poblacion with excitement and commitment. The day began with a Flag Ceremony, followed by an inspiring message from our School Principal IV, Mrs. Emma L. Izon.

The program continued with the State of the Learners’ Government Address (SOLGA) delivered by SSLG President Almira G. Coronado, together with her fellow officers and SSLG Adviser, Mr. John Kharlo B. Arquiza. Ms. Almira introduced her dragon boat- style leadership framework ( ), highlighting key projects such as ONE Direction (Isang Direksyon), ONE Rhythm (Isang Kumpas), ONE Paddle (Isang Sagwan), ONE Boat (Isang Bangka), and ONE Goal (Isang Layunin). This segment also gave learners a chance to participate in a socialization activity led by the SSLG.

Advisers took the opportunity to conduct classroom orientations and getting-to-know-you activities.

The day concluded with the formal introduction of the school staff and teachers to the students, led by the school principal.
