Congratulations to Mr. Mark Virgil Jamer!

Mr. Jamer was one of the grantees of the UPLB–LBF Organic Agriculture Thesis Grant Program, recognizing his dedication and valuable contribution to the field of organic agriculture. His Special Problem (SP) study was also presented during the International Conference on Organic Agriculture held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) on November 27, 2025.

“Kabataan para sa OA”: 4th OA Fair highlights youth engagement in organic agriculture

The Organic Agriculture program of the Agricultural Systems Institute (ASI) and the UPLB Interdisciplinary Studies Center on Organic Agriculture ( IdSC-OA) host the 4th OA Fair with the theme “ OA para sa Kabataan, Kabataan para sa OA” on March 5, 2026 at the Organic Agriculture Research, Development and Extension Center (OARDEC), UPLB.

The event was graced by UPLB officials and partners in the promotion of organic agriculture. In her keynote speech, Dr. Editha Atendido, CESO V, School Divisions Superintendent, DepEd Laguna , emphasized that in “nurturing our youth through OA, we are cultivating a generation that is rooted, resilient, and ready to reap a bountiful, sustainable future for Laguna and for our nation.”

Various stakeholders convened today as the event highlights sharing of OA youth practitioners, guided demonstration tour ,cooking demonstrations, OA dance contest and showcase of OA products by different exhibitors.
