Kaya naman, abangan ang pagtunog ng The 20th UP ComBroadSoc Gandingan Awards, tangan ang temang "𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐧, 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐠 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧." Magsama-sama tayo sa D.L. Umali Hall, University of the Philippines Los Baños, sa darating na ika-25 ng Abril, ika-4 ng hapon, upang parangalan ang mga kawani ng midya, programa, at istoryang tumugon sa hamon ng kalikasan.

The UP ECOSYSTEMSS also celebrates with pride the bountiful harvest of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) Aggies for the November 2025 ALE. The UPLB was once again recognized the bumper crop — the top-performing school — for the November 2025 ALE, with a 99.37% passing rate🥇

Because improper e-waste disposal can result in the release of hazardous pollutants that pose a risk to public and environmental health. For example, heavy metals in e-waste are toxic and have a variety of negative impacts that affect the health and development of humans and other forms of life.

So, from February 10 (Tuesday) to February 14 (Saturday), we will be at Booths E23 and E24 of the UPLB February Fair 2026 to collect your waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Do you or someone you know (whether they be an individual or organisation) would like to properly dispose of old batteries, cables, devices, appliances, and more? Then come pay us a visit and spread the word!

Batteries more! (But there is more… I’m not sorry) This year, we will also be collecting scratch paper for recycling. Regardless of the quantity, size, and colour of the scratch paper you have, we appreciate your efforts in promoting circular economy practices for the betterment of our future and those who will come after.

Wetlands refer to areas where water covers the soil for varying periods of time during the year. They play an important role as they provide many ecosystem services for people and the environment. Often referred to as the "𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩'𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘺", wetlands help filter pollutants and improve water quality. As a nature-based solution to the climate crisis, they also help in carbon sequestration and in floodwater storage.

Despite these values, wetlands 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀 from anthropogenic activities including unsustainable aquaculture, deforestation, and reclamation.

Let's show some love for Earth's life support. 🌏💚
